Me? i hate it when u have just finnished having a go on DDR, and then someone else that is much older, stronger and/or better than u goes on it and does songs that u would find hard. Personally, i get reeaally embarrassed when that happens. riiight.gif A dude did that 2 me a while ago. He did heavy songs, while i only did 2 standard and 1 heavy songs. i waz really embarrassed....... riiight.gif

I got 2 things on my list.

1) Little 3 or 4 year olds who hang onto the handle bars.....WHILE YOU'RE PLAYING! I'm mean for goodness sake, give the player a little space man. How the heck do you play when there's a little 4 year old playing on the bar and it just becomes an eye sore. I mean, it's cute when they're on the mat trying to play, but the handle bar thing is just too much cute at one time.

2)When there's those waits, and it's all "first come, first served", or whatever that crap is, those people who're all like, "Hey I was here before you"...AND THEY CAME LIKE 10 MINUTES AFTER YOU ARRIVED! This happened at the arcade at my mall before, and I was about to go next, and some guy just waltzes on in and inserts his tokens into the machine just as I get up onto the dance pad. I felt like slapping the $#!T out of him...

People assuming that a joint premium machine means that they are entitled to versus me; like, just walking up and joining into my game. And then one dude had the nerve to try and pick songs. It's my money, my game, if you want in you have to ask.

People who mock new players; it's just mean we all sucked when we started. There's always someone better so leave the noobs alone, unless you want someone to challenge you and make you look foolish.

People who only play three songs, over and over and over until you want to shoot the game.

People who don't wait their turn.

Arcade celebrities who come there all the time and think they're the hottest thing around. Like, they own the machine because they can beat all the regulars.

Snooty, close minded players who pathologically refuse to use the ITG/PIU machine ten feet away because it's a DDR "ripoff". Who cares?they're still good games.

To tell the truth, im somewhat tolerant little kids stepping on the pad when/while I'm playing and that kinda stuff. I think it's kinda cute to see the kids mimic and want to learn DDR too. E1.gif
However,
My pet peeve is people that are watching, that then whisper words under their breath while I'm playing. Things like,
"Stupid American. Get off the pad, my son can do better than you!"
I play at home way more than the arcade because of that type of stuff.

How do you tolerate little kids? They drive me out of my mind. I don't mind if they jump on the pad I'm not using for a few seconds and then stop/get off, but if they do anything annoying, I get pissed.

Well, I like to think of it this way.
If the current generation of kids under the age of 10 becomes interested in DDR, there's going to be more people playing machines once they're older, the machines are going to wear out faster, but arcades will be making more money from more people starting to play, they'll buy more machines, and movie theatres and malls will want to make money so they'll buy machines too, so in the end,
little kids playing DDR or wanting to play DDR = More machines in the future.

I may not still be playing DDR in about 5-10 years, but if I ever have kids, I'm SO making them play. E1.gif
(Sorry for the major run on sentence! xD)

I too plan to introduce my future kids (if I have any...and probably won't as I'll be a virgin all my life) to DDR at an early age.
While more DDR machines in the future sounds nice, arcades should get DDR Kid machines to keep little kids away from us.

DDR kid machines is a very fine idea. n-n
Or at least a sign or two in the arcade, reminding parents to keep a watchful eye on their kids.

But what makes you say you'll be a virgin all your life? <_< >_>
And there's always adoption. n-n

Yeah, the sign could say "Warning: We or the players cannot be sued if your children get kicked or stepped on because they're stupid enough to get close to a DDR machine".
As for being a virgin all my life, read some of my posts man! Isn't it obvious?

Teehee! Flawless! O: Or at least be willing to put the DDR machine in a corner so there arn't as many passerby like little kids.

Um... Not really. D: <3

Here's a new one: people who like to mock you when you fail a hard song. Look you bastard, let's see YOU pass Cartoon Heros or Max 300!

(Speaking of CH, I passed it home today with a B! happy.gif!)

That's nice, I still haven't passed it (but I haven't been trying hard).
The beginning of MAX 300 is a common failing point for me, but if I get past the first really long arrow stream in the song, it's pretty much home free from there on. A very long home free. I once failed there and a huge crowd of girls that I didn't know was watching me started laughing. It was kind of embarrasing, since MAX 300 is mah song.

My common failing poin is usually after the freeze or at the end (like you and your Unlimited), I hate failing it when there's a crowd, but then again I think they're entertained by me getting that far. E10.gif

You can certainly pass CH if I can do it, vid. You're loads better than I am, from the feeling I get. Just watch out for those stupid gallops.

Aww, thanks E1.gif Next time I go I'll try it again if I don't forget to E13.gif And I willl watch out for the gallops. They haven't given me much trouble before, but they could be SPECIAL gallops :O
Now to speak of MAX 300 once more...After the freeze isn't as common a failing point for me as it used to be. When you get to it, you instantly stop moving. Your body thinks that you stopped to take a little break, and when you start going again your body didn't expect it, so you instantly feel like your going to die. I don't let my body think I stopped, as instead of taking that moment to calm down (like some people do), I keep my breathing at the same fast pace it was going at, and sometimes I bounce up and down to the beat a little.

Yes, they're special WOMG HOLY CRAP CARTOON HEROS gallops. O:

Anywho, that's what I started doing after I saw the Kevbo Legend Road Video when he taps his foot on the MaxX Unlimited freeze, so I do that now to keep time and tell my brain that there's still a long way to go before you can take a break. THankfully I don't get nearly as worn out as I used to when I play Max 300, hurrah stamina! Funny part is I haven't even done that many nines.

It seems like every time you do a 10 footer that's not bag, you gain more stamina. Right now I really need to stalk up on stamina, to help with MAXX UNLIMITED.
In other news, I'll be going to the bowling ally later. Hopefully I'll come back with good things to report.

They're all acurate. Strangley, none of my IM screen names are videoCWK. I've already added you to my list.
Anyway, congrats on your first cata A. That must feel good, huh?
Thanks for the luck E1.gif I have a feeling that I'll do good today (but like always, I'm probably wrong).
