Nice edit. I like how you followed the triplet rhythms. _________________

I suck at Stepmania...
Yay, I passed MAX 300... with 21 misses.
All of these are with keyboard (my home metal pad isn't quite done yet), with these settings:
Scoring Type MAX2
Judge Difficulty 6
Life Difficulty 4
Progressive Stage Lifebar 3 |

I'm never going to be able to achieve what you people can do. What judge difficulty do you play at? 1? Maybe even a custom 0.5? Amazing...
|
i always play on 4 to get scores, i play on 6 to practice. playing on 1 is just dumb, it makes you alot worse. _________________

Fact: If you play on like Judge 8 for a MONTH then switch to judge 1, then you'll be gettin AAAA's and SDP's like nobody's business.
Fact: That's just gay and most people won't recognize those scores as legit. _________________

J6 is probably more effective than J8. |

I don't know how good of a player you are, but my guess is that something is wrong with your pad. _________________

I'm only barely passing 9's. My pad's fine, I'm just struggling with crossovers and stepping towards the center of the buttons (I'm using DDRHomepad's design). Most of the misses there are because I just f*cked up the sightread (especially on Drop Out and So Deep), and the rest are from stepping not on the panels. I'm used to a softpad, and I'm trying to adjust to the feel of metal pads.
EDIT: The amazingly terrible PA is caused by the fact that I'm using arcade accurate (6) timing windows, and I'm used to the freaking Mario Mix windows. Not SDG'ing a song on that is almost impossible if you FC it and you're even remotely onbeat. |

I wasn't referring to your PA, only the number of misses. Again, could be different for you, but double digit misses is usually a good sign the pad is wrong. I knew things were going downhill with my homemade pad when scores started becoming something maybe like 500/100/8/0/0/17. _________________

Don't worry. I just suck.
BTW, what happened to yours? I read somewhere you did a similar design to mine... |

It just plain doesn't work. I'm guessing the $1 circuit board is fried. Some time I'm going to replace it with the PCB of an actual placemat pad, rewire some stuff, and take out some of the wx-stripping (since I doubt it's sensitive enough).
Edit: playing on a laptop means it's impossible to play a on a corded keyboard with keys like a foot high. _________________

That was me forgetting to type "on" but then also forgetting to delete the first "a." _________________
