Hi everyone,

I just heard a song sample that is exactly the same as El Ritmo Tropical : just the melody of the beginning of the song (la la la la la ...) is played on saxophone, and percussions are a lot different.

If anyone know about this song (that seems to be the original that was remixed into El Ritmo Tropical), I'd like to have informations, name of the song, it's author and anything interesting.

Thanks

Mathieu

That would be El Bimbo from the good ol Police Academy movies! (Blue Oyster Bar anyone?)

"El Bimbo"
Written by Claude Ganem
Performed by Jean-Marc Dompierre and his orchestra

Lyrics from El Ritmo pay tribute as well....

Have a party
Shake your body
Do the limbo
Dancin' on "El Bimbo"
Do it all night
See the sunlight
We go on and on and on

We're gonna have a party
It's time shake your body
Come on and do the limbo
Dancin' on "El Bimbo"
We can do it all night
Until we see the sunlight

We go on and on and on

Lala lala lalaaaaa
Lala lala lala lalaaaaaa
(All 3x!!!)

El ritmo tropical, (x3)
Celebra carnaval!
