I like spectators only when they are gracious, sometimes the occasional "wow, how'd you get so good?" or "Nice job", but I hate when people crowd around the machine, start yelling to each other in an attempt to distract me. However, I like showing off E13.gif So it's all good.

Well where ever you go there's going to be a select few people who are just going to make you gaming experience less enjoyable. I like spectators because they help me do better. I guess it's when you're trying to impress some people the concentration level goes up, for me at least.

I don't really "notice" people who are watching me. They can carry on a conversation right behind me and I'll just keep playing.

I like having people watch me. Sometimes I do better if I have a croud. And it makes you feel good to know your good enough to get people to watch. Sometimes I hear people say things like "Woah, he's good" or "How does he move his feet so fast?" or sometimes they tell their friends to watch. Its pretty cool. Occasionally (usually on Friday nights) the entire arcade area fills up with people who decide all they want to do is watch me. Once a guy said that his friend said I was there and he only came to the arcade area to watch me. I think some people I don't know might know my name...its weird.
Once some guy came to the arcade area either before or after playing a game of bowling. He hung out around the machine for a while, and I asked him if he wanted to play (I don't like to hog the machine if other people want to play) a few times and he said "No". He just hung out. I think the only reason he stayed after his game was to watch. I'm really (really) not used to people thinking I'm more then some kid who's at the bowling ally. Its cool.

I don't mind people asking questions and stuff (except for the traditional and very annoying "HOW DID YOU DO THAT!?" question. You tell them how DDR is played, and they say "No no no, I mean how did you do THAT?!") as long as its not in the middle of the song. You'd think people would realize that its distracting.

Whenever I pass a 10-footer people ask "How long have you been playing?" I tell them "1 week". The look on there face is priceless.

It's even better if you tell them you just started today. Sometimes they don't believe you, but when they do, it's just classic.

Truthfully as long as the spectators don't bother me, I really try to ignore them and focus on the song I'm doing at the time.

LMAO. If somebody believes that, your picture had better be next to gullible in the dictionary.

I don't mind crowds, I just hate when people get on the pad and make themselves look more like an asshole than you do. This is why I play doubles all the time.

Crowds are alright, so long as they don't get too rowdy. Hard songs I like almost dead silence (with the exception of music and my steps), though, and most are pretty good with that. I don't mind a kid shadowing along on the other side so long as they aren't TOO far off rhythm, and if I get a AA with them on the other side, they'd most definitely be allowed to stay there for good luck.

Some experiences I've had was with this hot-mouthed teenager who thought he was god at the game; I just play my stealth song to shut him up. Another one was when my buddy and I went to a bowling alley to start playing, and 2 drunk guys were placing bets on us.

Lol. I often get asked questions. Here are some of the most common (no order)

1. How did you DO that!? (I hate this one)

2. How long have you been playing?

3. How old are you? (I'm 12 as you probably know, and I look about as old as I am. People don't expect much from me)

4. Whats your name?

For me, the more people watching, the better I play. Background noise and stuff doesn't really matter as long as I can hear the music.

It really doesn't make a difference for me either. I like when people watch because I can show off, but I don't really play any better.

I HATE having people watch me. It makes me nervous and then I start messing up. It sucks, lately I've been getting better at ignoring it but at the same time I still don't like it. Guess I'm just self concious. Its partly because I always get a nasty weggie whenever I play!! ><
