Since 1st mix, it's common to see scrubs overplay Butterfly to death. Now, according to Urbandictionary, it's Daikenkai.
In addition, due to V's overexposure in 5th-10th style CS appearances, some say that contributed to its status of being underplayed in DDR.
Moving on, what are the most overplayed-songs-to-death in DDR? Underplayed songs in DDR?
Update: you may now officially include step charts in the list. Feel free doing it.
Ironically, Butterfly Oni in DDR Extreme is underplayed; I take it back, no one plays the Oni step charts in the arcade.
Update # 2: No one seems to play Ecstasy.

BeForU was easily the heart and soul of DDR, until someone in Konami thought that it's a threat to the current structure (read: Konami's blatant overfunding of IIDX/pop'n).

Underplayed I'd have to pick Feeling Of Love. I swear I'm the only one who ever plays that song. Same with 20, November. In fact a lot of the club songs get no love at all. So sad.
Overplayed... Rhythm & Police.

Butterfly is ridiculously overplayed. Anytime you go to an arcade and teenage girls are playing DDR, it's almost a given they will play Butterfly. I think Dam Dariram is pretty popular too. I'm pretty sure Sakura is played a lot by the more avid DDRers also. One more: Witch Doctor.
I'm trying to think of underplayed songs. I haven't seen many people play Telephone Operator. I really don't know what is underplayed.

At the machine I play on, Butterfly, Graduation, Captain Jack, Speed over Beethoven, and We Will Rock You (typical noob songs) are way overplayed (most often by little kids stomping around on beginner).

B4U is played constantly way too much. I have the lyrics memoried by heart becuase of it. even worse, its only played on light and the kids are like, WTF MATE I JUST D'd AN IMPOSSIBLE SONG!!!!!!111!!1 GHETTO GHETTO GHETTO

From my perspective, it's one of the most overplayed DDR songs. In fact, I'm wondering if I should've selected it instead of A. At my local arcade, We Will Rock you is one of the most overplayed songs on the entire machine, probably because of swarms of clueless beginners choosing songs they "recognize".

Really? I see people playing that song all the time. Nobody here plays Crash or PARANOiA, and I think the most played songs are Daikenkai and I Do I Do I Do.
