Way to stereotype!

I can run a mile in under 8 minutes without getting out of breath or getting tired. Again, way to stereotype!

Not all fat people are out of shape, thank you very much.

5'11' and 300 pounds, unless you're literally a boulder of muscle, means you are fat and out of shape.

Just so you guys know, DDR doesn't require anywhere NEAR as much endurance as, say, running or soccer.

But ITG does. And don't try to tell me that Pandemonium, Bloodrush, and other songs aren't as tiring as soccer, cause they are.

They most certainly are not. I'd much rather sprint for 2 minutes than run for 90 minutes.

I'm 28 and am around 175. (5'9'') A few years ago I was around 155, so here's to getting back to that, of course with all the leg muscle from DDR, I should probably get to 165 and be happy. E1.gif

I don't know, some of us DDR for a long time. I mean, playing 12 songs in a row non stop, is about 24 minutes. In soccer, you at least get breaks. I don't want to play soccer anyway, soccer is for gays.

It's nice to see more guys my age on these boards. But I'm only 5' 3" and only weigh 160. I've already mentioned all of this, but I thought it was nice to see this.

No, they aren't.

The songs, no matter how difficult, last 4 or 5 minutes at most, and the average song is under 2 minutes. A good soccer game has constant running and juking for almost 2 hours, and marathons can last for tens of hours. Besides, you're only working your quads in DDR. You work every muscle of your body in soccer, running, wrestling, real sports, etc.

I'm 21 and around 106 lbs. Nice to see I'm alone in my own age AND weight group. ¬¬

My legs are fairly muscular compared to the rest of my body, though. Kind of disgusting when you consider proportions at 5'4".

Then why is it that I don't get tired in an entire game of soccer but DO get tired playing 12's? Could it be that it is a different type of workout even if they look really similar?

...If a whole game of soccer doesn't make you tired, that means you're not playing soccer correctly.

Pro Players get tired during a game of soccer because they run a lot in them. If you don't get tired after an entire game of real soccer, you're not running enough. Unless you're the freakin goalie or a defender or something.

17 5'7 110-120 (Haven't checked lately, but it's always in that range)

Real sports are a better overall workout, but I don't like them as much, so I'll stick with didder for excercise thanks.
