Handles and Cart for CF pads

Hi guys,
I have been hauling my pads to events at school and the Y, for the last 2 years, and I needed a better way of picking them up and carrying them short distances.
I also share floor space with hubby who has a treadmill, so I have to pick them up and put them against the wall every time I'm done with them.

Handles:
I went to the Salvation Army and bought a narrow leather belt.
Then I took one of the screws out of the corner bracket and went to our local hardware store, matched the diameter and bought the next longer size.
I cut the belt in four pieces because I have two pads. Then I measured the distance between the screws, punched holes and installed them.
It may not be pretty, but it saves my hands.

Cart:
The cart is a custom design and build by my sweet hubby. It's basically a 9 1/2" wide piece of white particle board shelving with aluminum square stock and wheels. Plus assorted hinges, angle brackets, screws and pins.
No we don't have written plans he did it in his head. We walked around Lowe's for about an hour discussing designs and picking up the parts. Then we came home and he built it in a weekend. (amazing) Oh, all together the parts cost around $100.
If you are going to attempt it, I would advise wider board, it gets a little tipsy in windy weather.

well i liked it

i got annoyed at how heavy my homebuilt pad was..moving UP AND DOWN STAIRS alot..
so i eventually just put on 2 wheels on the bottom and 2 handles (one on the side and one on top)

once i get my other homebuilt one fixed (and my main one actually), im going to make a arcade like enclosure for them, and prolly put handles and some way to move it easier..

anyway, once i get it all done (forever prolly) ill get pics

but great job on that cart..i like it alot, i personally would have just tried to put wheels on the pad, but im not sure if its even possible on the CF

I have an update on my handles.
They aren't as sturdy as I had hoped. The leather ripped and two of them fell apart.
Not to fret tho' cause I have a new design.

I use oval chain and put it inside corrigated plastic tube.
Oh, and I learned I should have drilled out the holes before installing the longer screws.
The corners of the wood base have a small crack running lengthwise from the screw holes to the corner. Which in turn made the screw holes loose.

So I took the brackets off and filled the holes and cracks with wood putty.
When that's dry I'll redrill the holes and put the brackets, with my new handles back on.

Have to run to the hardware for some more parts. I'll take some pics soon.

Secondly, Im having a little problem with my pad, the up arrow stopped working, Im not sure what to do...its a metal pad, what do you guys suggest?

But seriously, djM4st3r, or however your name is misspelled, I suggest you wait until your first 24 hours are up and post a new thread in Bemani Controllers, rather than jacking other innocent people's threads. Or even better, find the thread about the pad you have and post your question. No one can help you if we don't know what pad you have.
Secondly, I suggest you not post *bump* posts. They make you look bad. Especially when the *bump* post is only two and a half hours after the previous post.
