A separate forum sounds like a good idea. I'd be willing to mod it too, since music is one of the things I know a lot about (not just metal, actually).

I think it would be better for it to be a music forum, not just media. Wecould have discussions about learning to play instruments, band discussion, recommendations, and places to advertise one's own band/music.

It's evident that there's demand for it (see: this thread), as well as a lot of things that could go there (see: Random Chat currently).

I f it was just "media" then people would just see it as a place say"LoL look at my ytdm/youtube video." I think that belongs in random chat.

I'd rather a Music forum than a general Media one. Media in general is a good fraction of what we talk about in Random anyway. It's either end up being two Randoms or turn Random into nothing but politics and postwhoring.
