Just to give you an idea, when we had the song for DTX, it was slated to be one of the hardest non-boss songs in the game. _________________

MY OPINION - > I was not impressed at all by these songs. They felt slapped together with no real depth. Sounded like songs that belong on ITG. ah well |

glad to see DM Ashura do well, as all his music's good.
I prefer when he doesn't try and emulate Konami originals, but that's just me.
hope this doesn't jeopardise his involevement with DanceTrax, cos those songs are awesome. _________________

Race Against Time is awesome. It sounds like it would be a lot of fun to play, and it's easily my favorite of the four winners.
There's A Rhythm is ok, but I don't think it's really fitting for DDR.
I'm not impressed with GO! at all. There's not much to it. The same goes for Grandolin, though the string & piano parts further in help redeem it somewhat. They both are what I consider "mindless" songs, though. |

Hmm I like "GO!" beginning but it got kind of boring. "Race Against Time" Seemed a bit odd for DDR music, but it might work out fine. "Grandolin" Was also alright, better then "GO!" and "Race Against Time". "THere's A Rythem" was pretty good for my taste, the R&B Music that DDR has is something they need to improve in my opinion, so the song looks like they're going in the right way for R&B. Anyways! I look foward to the stepcharts for all these songs. _________________

Same here. He also did that Disconnected song, too. So maybe he's going so far as to shooting in all three directions. =/
But yeah, I hope his involvement in DTX stays intact.
(Still waits ever-so-patiently for DTX) |

My opinion on Go! is that it's not got enough substance to be a four minute+ song. But cut down, take the energetic parts, and it'd make an amazing DDR 10. |

Am I the only one who actually FAVORED "There's A Rhythm"? Maybe I'm just a weirdo then. I do look forward to seeing them all, though; just hope they get decent HVY/MANIAC/EXPERT/WTFever steps, too. |

I agree very much.
GO! is REALLY repetitive. It pretty much falls into that Typical Techno Repitition Syndrome. But there's enough trade-off between the asian sound, the techno synths, and repeated phrase to make this song an awesome cut-down 1:40-ish DDR song.
But as the full version...GO! is still good, but it's lacking in substance.
Grandolin has grown on me. I tend to like this song most now. It does very well mainly in mixing the musical instrument sound with that really cool ambient background sound pattern (that sound reminds me of Gradius for some reason).
In my mind, it'll probably end up to be one of the most popular of DDR songs if it ends up in an arcade mix (Hopefully SuperNOVA won't be the only DDR mix we'll see in arcades in the future). Something like the flair Sakura or A has (in terms of general musical popularity). |

If I worked at Konami, I'd make Grandolin a 9, Race Against Time eiher an 8 or a 9 depending on how many 9's were on the version and There's a Rhythm into the 7 or 8 range.
Go! could easily make a 10. EASY. If C. Foy got rights to making a stepchart, I'd be prepared to see a 12 come out of it, of course, Foy is weird like that. _________________

The first two o nthe page really lack production skills better than amateur, and the last two are mediocre at best. I have to wonder if these were the best, or if Konami's judges have crap for brains. I was hoping some great producer from GYBO would enter something.... _________________

Congratulations to all winners!
Race Against Time is my favorite of the four; it's really weird, but it just works! _________________

There's a Rhythm is my favorite by far....
When I first heard Go!, it kinda got on my nerves, but I started liking it alot more towards the middle. I think it could potentially be a very enjoyable song on DDR, but only time will tell...
Grandolin was my third favorite... I liked that it somewhat reminded me of some of dj Taka's work, but it wasn't quite up to par... It will probably be a song I play once or twice when the game comes out, and not alot more than that.
Race Against Time was my least favorite, but it wasn't too bad... It reminded me of Get It All from DanceManiaX and Ultramix... Like I said, not horrible, but it definantly won't go down as one of my favorites of all time.
Almost all of these songs will either be made or destroyed depending how Konami cuts them for the DDR version... So it will be interesting to see what parts of songs gets cut... _________________

Yeah, DM Ashura is a total amateur, right?
Don't type anything ever again on the internet, okay? |

But everything else should be 10s. We most certainly need more of thsoe. And for once they aren't 37389273758576^2 bpm.
It would make a lot of us happy.
Edit: I'd rather see these songs on ITG, because they seem to fit in Roxxor's music a lot better. They'd treat these songs right as far as the note charts are concerned.
