Hey everyone alright. Well I've been playing on an ignition pad for.. near 4 months now. And uhm.. the sensories not so great anymore, it's got two rips on it and.. yea
Basically, I need a new pad!
I'm planning on buying a cobalt flux however I don't got the money right now. I'm saving up for it though. But right now I just need one so I won't die from lack of dancing
Until the cobalt I'd prefer to just get a non metal pad so uhm... this has been long and drug out but, what's the best non metal pad I can get???
I play Heavy Mode and can get A's or B's (very few B's) on everything except Maxx so uhm.. yea that's my skill mode.. help? ^.^' _________________

Hey.
I also play on heavy. Right now I have a Red Octain ignition, I dont know how much they are, But it works great. I guess what I would recemend, is maybe getting a flat mat, but only playing on like light or standered, if you are desprete to play.
Hope it all works out for you. |

If it's just for temporary, I wouldn't get a RO ignition, they're terribly overpriced...I'd suggest getting one of the random knock-off ignitions-- they can sell for almost as cheap as a flat soft pad but are much better |

The official In The Groove pad should work just fine (I played DDR and ITG home ver. with my ITG pad (12's and 13's almost every day), and it's still in perfect condition. I had this pad for about 6 months now). You just need to mod it to extend its lifespan.
If you are wondering how to mod it, here it is:
XMaxX in another post a long time ago wrote: | Try the Official In The Groove pad ($29.99) (for a cheap pad, it works well; after modding it). Get a piece of wood (Preferably 36" X 36") and some cardboard pieces (size of the arrows). Place the cardboard pieces under where the arrows should be to raise the arrows up a little bit*. Once in place, then tape it to the wood. Then align your pad on top of the cardboard & wood and tape it all together. It's called modding a softpad so that it doesn't suck. This is how I modded mine, and I never had a single problem (4 months playing on it so far).

IMO, Best non metal pad would be this: http://www.buynshop.com/category/4985/
I tried it once at a friend's house. It was pretty good. The foam is pretty sturdy. |

Dang! Are those prices for ignitions? Gosh! If they are, I should like go and get one right now just for the heck of it!
Like I said before, I have to RO ignition, and it works great for me. i don't know how much it costed, because I got it as a gift. I have had to for about 5-6 months, and is in awesome condition.
Good luck on finding a good priced well working mat. |
