In short, it's ANOTHER customs issue.
I want to swear but I don't normally so I won't. |
I live in Edmonton and I bought my copy at a Future Shop store on April 1. Actually, last Thursday (before I bought a copy), I went to the same Future Shop to see if they had the game in. It might surprise you to know that they did. _________________

Suckage! I came home Tuesday night to play some BM, and the controller was dead. Just no reponse at all. Tried all the standard diagnostics... nuthin. Fortunately Gamebuzz still had 2 of em so I exchanged it. All is fine now. _________________

Almo,
Did you read the controller's manual about not doing certain things with it, and plugging it in only when the PS2 power's off, and unplugging it when the power is off, and so on and so forth?
I know it's a little overkill when they say not to sleep with it, butter it, or submerge it in water but maybe that's why it died?
Josh924, I'm jealous! My EB said that "All of EB Canada doesn't have the game yet, until yesterday." So did FutureShop.
And I live outside Toronto, the biggest freaking city in Canada, and you live in BooneyCity (no offense but you're really NORTH of me) and yet you get it so much sooner.
I really am jealous. I understand that Alberta's got a pretty good music game scene though so maybe that's why. In Hamilton, it's just dropping deader than a rock in terms of arcades. Thankfully DDR and KR are going strong. _________________

Well, no. e-motion has always been fucked up. Some notes are early, some are late and even playing it with the SOUND OFF and a METRONOME on, its still off. Nice theory, though.
Oh, I can't wait to see what they do to Gambol if it ever comes here. The cries will be so amazing when everybody says "I CAN ONLY GET A C!!! WHY KONAMI WHY?!?!?!!?"

Gambol has the most horrible timing on 3rd style. I managed to B it. :\ but yeah. Malice, there isn't much of a difference in the JPS2 and the American except the regional blah blah. _________________

I got it at the local gamestop in the mall, then walked to the best buy and saw it for $5 less.
But i was still exstatic that I only paid $65 for a game that would have cost me $300 to import.
Its got some flaws to it sadly, theres only the split view, and theres no options for an event mode until you play EVERY song, they're unlocked in free play as you play them in game mode.
The 5 key mode is fun, but only has one difficulty, which I found weird.
And some songs are horribly difficult, I can pass many 4's and yet I cannot pass some 1's.
But well worth my money, ill be playing it for a while. |

I'm happy to announce Canadian stores (EB, FutureShop, ToysRUs) all should have it now. _________________

Thank god for you Canadians. Maybe it's more rarer there than America? _________________

What do you mean by split view? And about the $300 to import.
Flip Top $40.00 + Game $69.99 + KOC $80.00 = roughly under $200. Your exagerating. _________________

that and the controller you get with the US game is superior to the japanese KOC and if you were smart like me you only paid 50 for the game and controller bundle so you cna knock 30 more bucks off that price AND you get two games (plus depending on what style you want some of them ebay for as low as 40 bucks) _________________

Yup, read all of that, and tried everything. Tried pulling the keyboard out and putting it in backward (right-handed scratch). The dudez at the store re-tested it as well. _________________

Um... the later C64 composers found clever ways to make it sound like there were more than 3 voices. http://www.hvsc.c64.org/ Go get the Tetris music for the C64 for a really good example. There's a low percussion part, a chord rhythm part, and a melody.
The percussion is mixed in one voice with the bass, and they can "warble" one voice to sound like a chord, and the other voice does the melody. _________________
