Good luck. You're mileage may vary but as stated in the other thread, I think we have a MGS3:SLE and DDR Mario Mix right here.

I went to three stores today that had it in and they each only got 2. I preordred from one store so that left one. The other one I went to had one preorder. I bought the other one. And the last store had no preorders. I bought both copies.

There went my lunch hour. 3 of these babies are going to eBay.

Maybe you should change the title to Beatmania sort of released. I haven't been able to get one even though I had preordered. EB told me they couldn't get it because of their new GameStop distributors.

So far the only place I have heard of ever having them is Toys R Us...

if its released then why is there nowhere that has it. AND why is this on bemanistyle:

BEATMANIA US ANNOUNCEMENT:
For those of you who haven't purchased BEATMANIA US here's what I've learned:

1) Best Buy retail Chain does NOT list beatmania on their website.
2) Best Buy's inventory tracker system lists the game as DELETED (meaning they can't order any more and it's no longer being produced) and the details say:
Street Date: 4/04/06 Deleted: 4/06/06
3) My friend who runs/owns a gamestore CANNOT order the game
4) My gamestop and EB both say online "0 in stock, no more on the way"
-This is now untrue. My local stores say there ARE more on the way now.
5) I was told around lunchtime today that: "Beatmania US release will be another DDR Mario Mix release.

Good luck finding copies if all of this is accurate and true...

So yesterday I got a call from EBgames saying that beatmania would be in Thursday afternoon, and today I went down to pick it up.
The guy there said that all the games were in the back, and they still had to sort through it all. I asked how long that would take, and he said "three hours".

I drove back home, and there was a message from EBgames timed at fifteen minutes after I left, and while it didn't say anything, I can only assume they found the game. Right after I left.

I mean, the box is huge. I'm sure the guy coulda just walked to the back of the store, and found the game with little to no trouble. But NO, now I have to wait until tomorrow, when if I had arrived fifteen minutes later I would've got the game.

EDIT: My parents decided to be incredibly nice and let me go down AGAIN to pick it up. I'm happy now.

The game is horrible. I hope Konami can see this post too.

E-motion on all notecharts is off. I have everything AAA'd except for that and it's retarded. Retarded as well on how you need to unlock anothers. Honestly get rid of that, and make it able to UNLOCK SONGS.

I called my local EB. They told me that they only had enough for preorders and since I did not preorder it, I wouldn't get one. They also told me: "Before you ask, I don't know when the next bunch is coming in. I'm not even sure if it will come at all. We only got a couple of the games in."

The other EB downtown's phone is messed up or something. No one is answering and it brings me to the voicemail. I do NOT believe that it's closed.

Well, I went to GS today & they didn't have it (although they had some for the people who pre-ordered it. Never would've thunk there'd be people in my town who'd want BM) & they said they'll get more next week....Dang. At least I got $42 by trading in 4 games w/ my GS card, which makes a total of $52 in GS money. Looks like I gotta wait to be Beatmania...

Man, what is it w/ everyone getting this game late?! Heck, Gamespot hasn't even reviewed it. *expects a 7-8 score from them*

I managed to pick up a copy at an EB. I have to say I prefer my limited playtime with 9th style to this, but it's a good introductory style.

the controller has one big plus, and one big minus:

+ The buttons are very responsive
- The turntable is exceedingly stiff out of the box.

There's a mod for the turntable listed in the old thread, IIRC. I'll be sticking to my KOC for now.

I like the controller most out of the package. The game is decent, but doesn't have very many songs because they split it up between 5K and 7K.

Some great features of the controller are that it's a good IIDX controller for only $60-70. If you look at it that way, you won't be disappointed when you play the game, because it will seem like something that is a bonus product along with the purchase of the controller. I like how it has an eject button to switch the keys around to have the turn-table on the left or right side, for left or right handed players.

One question I do have, however, is what is the input for under the square rubber cover on the side of the controller next to the output cable? I'll post a picture later of the controller manual of what i'm talking about for those who don't have the game yet.
