...Just WHY did KH2 had to come out the same day as BMUS? I'm probably the only person in my area to get said game but...gah.
Yet again, I have to wake myself from precious sleep to drive 20 miles and back, at 10 in the morning. Or so I hope.
I don't think I've been this excited/anxious for a game in a long time. _________________

YES! I called my local Toys R' Us and they've put a copy of the bundle on hold for me. I shall have the game tonight!
And save $5 too... |

Same here. Which is why i'm writing a complaint. |
It was even worse for me at EB games. Even though I had pre-ordered it last year, they wouldn't get it for me.
They told me that EB decided not to carry it and that the only thing they could do was give me my money back (which they did). They said I'd have to buy it on teh Internet if I wanted it |

Toys'R'Us has it!
Get them to check in the back, my place had it, so I went there and picked it up. Its only $60, so I didn't mind losing the $5 on the GameStop preorder. Also, if you go to GameStop later, you can get the money back on the preorder, you can't get cashback, but you can apply the store credit towards another purchase. =)
I'm happy now, off to go play for hours on end.
And don't worry, I suck at the game, I won't be unlocking anything anytime soon.

Do you mean the Best Buy in Pelham/Mt. Vernon? If so, then poo. I guess I'll go up to the Toys 'R Us up in White Plains, I hear they have it for $5 cheaper (for the bundle) |

Picked up my copy at Toys R Us today, and, to be honest, I'm a little disappointed.
Song selection is good and the beatmania(orig) section brings back memories of the good 'ol days, but the difficulty settings and controller are subpar.
The difficult settings for IIDX are Beginner, Normal, and Hyper. This basically translates into 5-Key, light-7, and normal 7. I'm not sure about the beginner difficulty because I haven't tried it, but Hyper was normal 7. SO I think it's a fair assumption.
The controller itself is lighter and less ergonomic than the Japanese counterpart. The Keys are thinner and more convex than the Japanese one, and the wheel is made of cheaper plastic and doesn't spin as well.
My recommendation is that if you already have the japanese controller, try to find a game only edition. The US controller just isn't that great. |

Wow, the box is bigger than I thought it would be...
Anyway I went to 2 Gamestops, one had no clue what I was talking about and was like "Yeah I don't think we're getting any, try a different one" and the other Gamestop said they get it tomorrow. *Sigh*, so I went and bought Kingdom Hearts 2! Which surprisingly, EB Games had plenty of. _________________

It's really anoying not having Another for ANY songs yet, but I'm managing fine.
The controller seems great to me, the scratch wheel seems to of been roughened out a bit giving me a easier grip on it.
The remix of Toxic kicks BOOTAAAAY. _________________

Damnit, another hour and half until I get home from work. The game is there, waiting for me, which makes the wait all the more unbearable. If I were unsure, then yeah, the wait would still sorta suck, but I know it's there, and the time ticks off the clock ever so slowly, causing me unbearable agony.
Or not. I can wait. I'm gonna go pick up Kingdom Hearts II after work and play a bit of that between Beatmania games, rather than vice-versa, because something or other that I forgot while I was typing this long, rambling, nearly nonsensical waste of time that's going to lower the IQ of anyone who reads it by several points. Yup. |

Yeah that one. They had guitar heroes and i was considering getting that instead. Oh well, next time i have alot of money i'll get it.
I bought beatmania at the toy's r us on central avenue in Yonkers. God bless them. I asked if he could hold one for me but he said there was no need since there was plenty to go around. They were also (like every other store i've been to today) over stocked with kingdom hearts 2. I guess people took that ign review to heart, that or they got too many... _________________

*is growing more frustrated*
Anyway, doesn't most game stores have shipments that come in at 10, noon, and 2? _________________
