as far as kalek hast tested,
Movies do not work at any chance, unless someone cracks the .av Format
(which the developer said some time ago he will not do, as the main goal of adding own content is reached).

I would like to say that BGMovies are now possible.
Ok, since you mentioned things getting into the hands of people that its not supposed to be in, I did give the packer to one person. He has not told anyone he has it, so it has not left his hands.
He was the one that made BGMovies work. I think he just left it in the song folder and scripted it in the .sm normally.

This is the aim conversation we had about it. He didn't elaborate further on how he got it to work. I'm guessing he just put it in the same folder as the .sm. I can't test it, since the hard drive function on my PS2 is currently broken (and will be for about a week). Maybe the PS2 is just weird about file names (I had mine named .mpg, not .avi). |

At least, from reading the conversation, it looks like the boys at Roxor did allow for Stepmania's simplicity to remain in tact - a real favor for us, the people who like hacking dance simulation games to make them better.

| He is going to test BGVideos from the RandomMovies folder soon. I just watched a video of them working. If it does work, he said he's going to do some research on ITG's video format. |

and for me this situation is clarified.

Does a/the utility for extracting .PCK files still exist somewhere? In my impatience for updates on this utility's release, I am praticing my hacking on the In the Groove PC demo, which also utilizes .PCK files.

I keep trying, but it either says there was an error or windows shuts the program down.

| It seems like the PC version doesn't want to use repacked PCKs, and the tools (the packing tools, not un-pkf.exe) won't extract the PCKs for me either. |

| there is encryption enabled int eh home version files... currently working on breeaing it, also the fiels have 2 more file descriptor fields, so therre is no way without modification ps2 data files will work on itg home |

I can put all of the DDR Extreme AC songs up already packed shortly.
L'amour et la liberte will have a black screen for most of the song when you try to play it, unless I get BGVideos working between now and when I upload it, in which case it would be longer to wait, but it would have BGVideos.
I think I'll just upload it now, and upload it with the BGVideos later. |

As long as its a DVD-ROM drive, it should work. If those don't work, you could always torrent it.
NOTE: Do not steal things illegally using the internet. Only use the torrent if you own the game already but it just won't work in your disc drive. I won't say where they are either. |

Anyways... down to the serious part now that this is out of my brain - I would torrent it, but my problems are twofold: 1 I always find torents where the leechers outnumber the seeders, and two, my internet connection, while it should be good, tends to bug out/disconnect itself/be a pain in the buttocks, so that is why I am not going this way.
To be more specific, the error I get is "The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable."

I keep on encountering this error about the application configuration being incorrect.. I re-installed it several times, but to no avail.
(Oh, and on the installation/Terms of use screen, you might want to make a correction. "copy-protecton" and "copyright-protection" are not the same thing.  )
