Okay so people ask "Tx-4000 or Tx-6000" which seems to be a pretty stupid question due to their obvious difference being the bar.
But what about the tx 1501 and the tx 4000 ? There doesn't seem to be as many negative comments about the tx 1501 as there is for the 1000 ...
I fail to see the real difference between the tx 1501 and 4000, is it that the 1501 has acrylic panels and the 4000 has metal panels?

yeh, i want to buy a metal pad in the next couple days .. I was thinking to get the 4000 but the 1501 doesn't look that bad ..

The acrylic panels will shatter eventually regardless of your weight. The metal panels are a little less sensitive. So what you have to decide then is are you more willing to put up with panels that will shatter or panels that are a little less sensitive. If you do ITG then hands might be more difficult.

I recommend the TX-1501 (duhhh E15.gif )
Ive been on a pad similar to the tx-4000 and its hard to tell when your stepping on the arrow panels, plus they are slidy as hell, not to mention the low sensitivity.

Errhem...
eTom - what was the pad called which you think was a similar to tx4000? Sounds like you have been playing on one of the flat surfaced pads which are made from one metal piece (like BNS and TX3000). Like you sed they are wery unsensitive and you can't feel where you are on the pad.

However tx4000 is different. I can feel wery well my position on the pad because stepping over arrow feels different than non-arrow panels. The arrow bend little making it more comftable to play over metal arrows. You can't acuse the TX4000 abought being flat because the TX1501 is just as flat. The only difference between them is the different arrow material being used.

I can see that many people are questerning the sensitivines of the tx4000. Here is what I wrote on other thread:
Quote:
Well I own tx4000 and I think it is sensitive.

The arrows need to be pushed down by shifting little weight over them (not much). They register every time, but it requires some preasure to do that. I will get 0% misses if I shift my weight correctly. Making over 250 comboes isn't a problem (8 and 9 footers).

The only problem considering sensitivines is hands (some ITG songs). The arrows require the certain amount of preasure to be pushed down, making it hard to register hands.

For DDR use tx4000 is more than enough sensitive. If you play ITG and want to make it to register hands, you can sheet-metal mod it.

I can say that the tx4000 hasn't let me down yet. I have had it now for over 3 months and so far it has been flawles. Good luck on deciding which pad you will get. I personally recomend TX4000 (duhhh E15.gif )

I have the same dilema as you now. I dont know if I should get a tx6000 or tx2501 E19.gif I mean, I really need good sensitivity cause I'm only 110 lbs and I play ITG ALOT. I have a tx1000 that Ive been playin on for about 3/4 a year, and I only have 1 crack and it's in the up arrow. I really dont care cause it doesnt effect my game play. I'm thinkin that if the arrows have improved at all in the tx2501, then I probably won't crack em. I don't know though.

COULD SOMEONE GIVE ME DIRECTIONS FOR THE SHEETMETAL MOD PLEASE.
