Its asking you want the Memory Card.

There no save data for this game, would you like to save it now?

2nd question asking : Do you want to Auto Save?

The choice are No and Yes(or the other way around)

Press Circle to pick your choice.

For the precise and exact answer, see the 5th Mix FAQ.

Is this the definition of postwhoring? Y'know, not contributing to the thread in any fashion whatsoever? I figure if your response is less than 7 words, it's probably not worth posting.

Also, to keep in mind, the default response when starting the game is No. When it asks you if you want to save, and again for Auto-Save, you have to specify that you want it to save. Won't do it automatically. E1.gif

gah! Extreme japan seems to be out of stock everywhere atm. Anyone know how long it usually takes for play-asia to get new shipments in? E10.gif I'm kind of an impatient person...

Well, Konamix was built on the 4th Mix engine -- both 4th and Extra Mix feel exactly like Konamix for timing and framerate. Having not played any of the other imports enough, I won't comment on them.

What should DDR MAX jp be set on? I seem to be needing to step incredibly early to get a perfect. O_o I have more greats on the songs I've played on this than I do at the arcade. =/

Don't generally post in this thread but has anyone else had problems with 5th mix CS on a slim JP PS2. The song select screen is very very laggy. Do I have a bad copy or is this a system defect?

This site has the signs that they are selling the Japanese version of DDRMAX2: Title (7th Mix in the title), box art is that of the Jap. version, and the price is common to import games, but I'm not sure:

http://www.link-to-us.com/linker.asp?productID=105

Is this the Japanese version of DDRMAX2?

I thought I saw something about hacking EX jp to put in arcade timing windows, could someone direct me to it? You could drive an eighteen-wheeler through the perfect window on this game.

I'd like to know the same thing about the hacking arcade windows, so BUMP.

I must say, ExJP has a smaller window than all the US mixes, so are you mostly an arcade player when you say that? If you're comparing it to the arcade, then yes, that would be a true statement. E10.gif

Hello, I was wondering if you all can maybe help me out here. I'm planning on buying a Japanese PlayStation2 Console Pink (SCPH-77000PK). I was wondering if the cords will work correctly on U.S. outlets since I do live in the U.S. after all. Here's the stuff it comes with.

PlayStation2 console Pink
110V Power cord
AV cable
Dual Shock 2 Joypad
Instruction manual (Japanese)

and the specs............
New slim PlayStation2™ (PS two™) model
Dimensions: 230 mm (W) x28 mm (H) x152 mm (D)
Weight: Approximately 900g (about about 45% of previous model)
Power requirements: DC 8.5V
Power consumption: Approximately 5.3A (45W)
Built-in network connector (100BASE-TX/10BASE-T)
This system only plays Japanese NTSC version PS and PS2 games (no US or PAL titles)

Thank you all for your time.

all the PS1 games but 3rd and 5th feel awfull to me. this includes U.S. and JP. 3rd feels good and 5th is the definition of perfect. i own them all(as of today, the last few just got here in the mail happy.gif) if you want me to test a particular one for you.

anyway, i recently got my hands on some of the PS1 dancing stage games. using the double swap method i booted them up like i would my JP games, however there is no color and the notes scroll just a tad bit faster than they should causing all songs to be off sync. i know the problems are from the PAL format, however i have a multi frequency TV so that shouldnt happen.

i looked through my TV manual and it says in there it supports NTSC, PAL, and SECAM color systems as well as 50 and 60 Hz, however, it says nothing about setting it to something other than NTSC.

obviously different brands work differently, but does anyone know what setting needs to be changed to run this, and what it is typically called, so that i might be able to look for it on my TV and change it when i play these?

I have all of the PS1 JP DDR mixes, and all of the PS2 US DDR version. When I get a JP PS2, I hope to plan on buying the PS2 JP versions as well (including the IIDX series riiight.gif ).

the problem I guess is that your PS2 is still sending 60hz signal, so even if your TV understands 50hz it doesnt matter (unless the PS2 knows how to change refresh rate but I doubt it)

I am planning on buying myself some PS1 Dancing Stage mixes as a personal high school graduation present, but I am stuck on which one to choose from IE: EuroMix, Fusion (is PS1 and PS2 IIRC, or is that Fever? Or am I mixing that with Puyo Puyo titles? E19.gif ), Party Edition, etc. Which ones do you recccomend? I will run it on a PS1 with external modchip, just so I can find out what to expect in terms of running issues, until I can get a chip'd ps2.
