I love the idea of a multiplayer cabinet system. Very forward-thinking. Not all places will buy more than one cabinet, but I think it's an awesome concept.
(OFF-TOPIC: Oh, and it would be cool if the machine kept track of the machine best, your best, and had a graph on the opponent's side in the same way the score comparison thing works in the new styles of IIDX.) |

Oops, I have to clarify.
The multiplayer version of In The Groove 2 is not run on linked Dedicated Cabinets; it is run on special software and hardware that allows up to thirty-two players to play on one hardware setup at one time.
Currently, the machine is only set up for six players at a time. |

This sounds as though it could be very useful for tournaments _________________

This is at ATEI, a trade show in Europe -- a part of the world where ITG PS2 is barely just being released (along with Guitar Hero).
ITG2 right after the original would merely be idiotic, unless ITG2 doesn't have any revivals. Then, that'd make sense. |

I don't get it. 6 players on one hardware setup? Where do you put all the pads and how does everyone see? Especially if it can do up to 32 players... _________________
