I've always liked Alice and now Sa-Ja since I got DDREX2 for Christmas. They don't distract me too much, I hardly ever see the backgrounds as it is when I play.  I have a tendency to zone out a bit when I'm playing.

Akira. Hes awesome. I don't know why, but no one could possibly look any cooler in a suit. And he looks even cooler when you get him that new outfit in DDR Extreme 2
EDIT: Another thing I like about him is that hes been around since DDR Konamix. |

I usually pick female characters rather than male characters. Its not that I'm sexest, its just that the male characters don't appeal to me as much. I mean the only male characters I use is Disk A, and Robo 2001.
My two favorite Female characters are Lady and Maid Zukin.
The other favorites are Emi and Evil-Zukin (From USA Konamix), Janet from 5th mix, and Yuni. Oh and I forgot that new blonde girl that appeared on the first Extreme for PS2... I think Rhythm was her name.
