RedOctane announces Guitar Hero and ITG for the UK

Eurogamer reports that "Guitar Hero will be released in the UK and selected European territories on April 7th" priced at £49.99.

"Country specific" versions and "other add-ons" are mentioned by RedOctane's Kelly Sumner.

The article ends mentioning that RedOctane is also planning to release premium dance mats, In the Groove, and more music-based peripherals.

I found this line in the article to be quite hilarious. Considering that RO and Harmonix have prolly heard of Guitar Freaks, even though the games are different. Would RO consider a 6 button layout a knockoff of Guitar Hero??

Except that "hurr it has more buttons" doesn't address the fact that the two games play differently. I'm not even going into this, shut up already.

I'm glad they finally announced this, it's good that they haven't forgotten the UK market. The country-specific part is interesting, especially since I heard the EXACT OPPOSITE from Roxor. Oh well, I'll be keeping my eye on this.
