cata killer, you fail the internet, please leave now
i'm not saying the afterburner is a total peice of poopy... cause obviously, there are some (note: 2) people who have had a good experiance with it.
but, with that said, a CF is by far a more reliable pad in terms of reviews. i've seen/heard of CF's that last years where as i havent heard of an afterburner lasting 6 months.
so, to summerize, about sucking CF users dicks, hell, i'd do it if they let me play on it, cause at least it works _________________

I'm looking at purchasing an afterburner or a cobalt flux but I'm still stuck on my decision
I like the afterburner because it looks like it'll have more of an arcade feel, but apparently the colbat fluxes seem to last longer. I'm still leaning towards the afterburner, but I'm just worried about it breaking on me |

I haven't read all of the posts in this topic [damn 35 PAGES?! wtf you guys are talking about... I bet its CF vs AF etc], but BESIDES the 60 day warranty with RO; is there anyway to extend the warranty on the AF? _________________

mm im not quite sure about their 60 day warranty, my AB was like 2 months past when the X button gave out cause the soldering came undone. But I sent it back and they gave me a whole new pad minus the shipping cost and the new pad. So i like there ways of dealing with customer service even though it took about a month to get it back cause DHL was having difficulties. _________________

You are exactly correct on that. I could not have said it better. |

Exactly, other than a few rare minor things like the soldering becoming undone(and lukejeff said Redoctane fixed it for him even when he was past warantee) the cbox is the only issue. Once they got a good cbox out this pad will be incredible. Let's not forget the problens CF users had with their cboxes. That being said, i know an AB cant withstand a suv driving over it, but i cant fit one of those in my basement anyway so my AB will nice and safe. |

The warranty on the Afterburner pads is actually 90 days, not 60. So there, it's extended for you now. |

I'm going to be picking up one of these soon. It looks very promising as long as it doesn't have any defects |

vesper, you NEED to read every page of this thread because it sounds like you haven't done so yet. cracked arrows, connection problems, and missteps are practically guaranteed when you buy this pad. do yourself a favor and spend the extra $100 to get a CF. Don't make the same mistake we have. |

It's really funny because you couldn't be more wrong, even if you tried. Buy the afterburner, for it is much more durable, realistic, and responsive than the Crapbalt F@#k. plus you can use the trillions you save on a new solid gold car. These people have never used the pad but feel the need to critisize it, might as well critisize sex while you at it you freakin' NOOBS. |

Catta, you either have to be a shill for RedOctane or the biggest dipshit ever to post on these boards. There is no way anyone who's owned an AB could post what you have.
When you quit lying and actually use a Afterburner for the first time, come back and tell us what you think... |

ok I'm back, with my honest review of the afterburner, it is the most durable pad I've ever played on. it's so sensitive that i can do delirium Ex. with my mind, and IMO better looking than the CF(but looks never really amount to jack) Also the Ab does not add skill to the player like the CF (even with arcade mod, but to a lesser extent) Aparently, I got the one chamber that didn't have a bullet in it.
You want the crazy proof...........with modded names 'n crap.

After reading the last two pages I am just going to stick with the Cobalt Flux...I have burned through 5 soft pads, and I am ready for a metal pad that will last a long. long. long. time.
What does the arcade mod set feel like for the CF? Same as arcade or just a bit closer to arcade feeling?
PS - Holy crap I didn't know people had flame wars over Cobalt Fluxes and AfterBurners. ...hah...it's amusing to read. |
