well i have been playing DDR so about 13 months now and i love it, but recently Xroads ( a mall ) has gotten an ITG machine. Its really cool and what not, better than DDR i think, but i was just wondering if anyone has any tips or anything like that to help me switching from DDR to ITG? anything and everything is welcome. i love learning all i can about games that are new to me. also i could use some tips about what songs to do to practice things like rolls, hands, and getting used to mines.
i know there is a post about this i was just wondering if somebody could kinda sum it all up for me.
thanks _________________

Make sure you are at a lower difficulty. Stay below the 10 foot rating. As for some reason I can do nines in DDR but barly in ITG. Example: I can AA So Deep on Heavy as I can do Pandemonium on Medium with a 40%. Since the average song lenth in ITG is around 2 min while DDR is about 1min 30 sec. Well, I guess this didn't help at all... _________________

Wait, what?? Surely you mean Pandemonium Hard, because I only recently AA'd So Deep, but I got 97% on Pandy Med almost 4 months ago. I don't see how it could be so hard you would barely pass it... _________________

in my opinion, the nines in ITG are, in general, harder than the 9s from DDR. aside from the high end nines in DDR, that is. the tens on the other hand are much easier than in ddr(for the most part). if you can AA so deep, i dont see why youd have a problem beating any of the nines aside from stamina...idk if this helped you at all. |

If you want a good transitional 10, do energizer hard. It is VERY similar to DDR 10's (Especially Max 300...).Do XuXa hard to get a good feel of different arrow combinations and a general feel for Hard mode, and Zodiac is a good one to feel out Hard on, too...
You might wanna do a lot of DDR on Endless mode to build your endurance, too... _________________

Keep playing it. Ignore the "ratings", you will just compare them to DDR. Play R&J Ex to get used to Mines and easy hands. Play HOTN Hard to get useds to the length and amount of arrows increase. Play on Overhead with Cell.
At least that's what I did. |
hell man, there is no way i am gunna stop playing ITG even if we do have a P.O.S. ever since that one day i first played it. all i can think about is going back and playing it again.
i swear i am gunna pass Anubus Expert soon, and the next time i go play i am gunna try Charlene Ex. i am pretty sure i can do it with no mines. _________________

No Mines = Pussy. Charlene is kinda hard and I doubt you will pass iit. I'd stick with trying the Disconnecteds at your stage.
I do WAY better on ITG than I do on DDR. I passed Pandemonium Hard like first try in 5 months (?) and I only smetimes pass PSMO. ITG is much easier. _________________

1 dont get discouraged when u suck at crazy itg songs.
2 play vertec hard or ex. if u r good enough if u really want to get used to mines, but mabey that's not a good start.
3 build up your endurance if u want to be able to do the crazy stuff _________________

1, i am not to worried about failing. i play PSMO and other crazy edits all the time. so its ok
2, i will work with some easier stuff to get use to them first
3, i have endurance, better than anyone around here, i just dont have the skill to move my legs fast and accurate. _________________

edit, i thought i was editing not qouting myself, sry _________________

My advice, is play every single expert 9 there is, epecially romeo and juliet, beause of all the crossovers and hands, very good practice/warmup for ITG.
Also, use the Mod overhead so the arrows scroll up like on DDR, and personally, i hate metal arrows, so i use cel. And if you want to get the feel for 10 footers, play temple of boom, if its unlocked AND if its a ITG2 machine, i dont remmeber if you said its one or two. and best advice so far is Energizer hard. Its a hard 10 footer, almost exactlly like 300, so thats really good practice, if you pass it, youll be able to pass just about every 10 on expert.
Thats my 2 cents _________________
