Aiight, here is a zip of all the files you will need to completely unpack your ITG ps2 disk and use it with stepmania and a guide on how to do so, enjoy!

(p.s. Official files are packed and will be uploaded tonight)

http://www.phatx.com/UnITG.zip

///////////////////////////////
// Un-ITG Utility Pack
// Built By Annonymous
// Distributed by TPMWR,
// dieKatze88 and
// Inuyasha 20XD
///////////////////////////////
//
///////////////////////////////
// Un-Pkf:
// Just drag a .PCK int this
// and it will extract the
// file to it's origional
// form
///////////////////////////////
//
///////////////////////////////
// UnAV:
// Drag a .AV file into this
// and it will output 1.out
// and 2.out. Rename 2.out
// to *songname*.avi and you
// now have song video.
///////////////////////////////
//
///////////////////////////////
// raw2wav:
// Use this in dos with 1.out
// and it will make 1.wav,
// which is the audio file in
// wav format.
///////////////////////////////
//
///////////////////////////////
// BladeEnc:
// Drag 1.wav into this and
// you will get 1.mp3, rename
// that to *songname*.mp3
// and you are done.
///////////////////////////////
//
///////////////////////////////
//
// Hi Glenn!
//
///////////////////////////////

P.S. This file is not illegal, nor is extracting your copy of ITG. BUT what you do with your files can be illegal, so be carefull.

Un-pkf works on all the files in itg ps2 except with D69FD6BC.PCK, atleast for me. Can anyone confirm this? Or did I mess something up? riiight.gif

(and DX_ -- if you still don't have it, I put my copy at http://www.frob.nl/tmp/UnITG.zip )

I'm unsure if I'm doing this right. I extracted all the files from my PS2 disc to a new folder. I extrated all files in the said zip into the new folder with all the ITG pck files. I highlighted all files, draged them into the un-pfk.exe, and DOS window comes up, and goes away. The files don't look unchanged. I tried doing this one file at a time. Am I doing something wrong here? If I can get this to work with stepmania, I'll never have to hook my pad up to my PS2 again (except to watch the PIU videos, but that's another story).

Would these be the same files that you can get from ITG Simfiles?

So this is to get the files into SM files/video/music?

Is it possible to recompile this with your own files?

Hello,

we are a little group trying to determine the needed actions to use own Simfiles in ITG Ps2 Disk, and we already have found out some basic stuff.

we rebundled the original UnITG Files with an updated Readme.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=E4DE1OKI

the new Readme:
Quote:
Un-ITG Utility Pack
Built By Annonymous
Distributed by TPMWR, dieKatze88 and Inuyasha 20XD
Additional Information by Rodent, wuselfuzz and an anonymous contributor

----------
Un-Pkf:
Just drag a .PCK into this and it will extract the file to it's original form

Notice:
.PCK seems to be a container format, where all files and folders are uncompressed

----------
UnAV:
Drag a .AV file into this and it will output 1.out and 2.out. Rename 2.out to *songname*.avi and you now have song video.

Notice:
1.out is a standard raw audio format (16-bit Intel raw PCM (48 kHz))
2.out is a standard .avi movie format (MPEG1 Video 320x240 30.00fps 1515Kbps / in a .avi container)

----------
raw2wav:
Use this in dos with 1.out and it will make 1.wav, which is the audio file in wav format.

Usage:
raw2wav.exe 1.out 1.wav

Notice:
This is no special tool. It just does a standard convert from 16-bit Intel raw PCM (48 kHz) to .wav (48 kHz)

----------
BladeEnc:
Drag 1.wav into this and you will get 1.mp3, rename that to *songname*.mp3 and you are done.
Notice:
This is no special tool. It just does a standard convert from .wav to .mp3

----------
Additional Info:
- PCK.IDX
this file can be opened with a standard text Editor, but is not a standard text format.
It contains information about how and in which order the .PCK Files are used.

----------
To Do:
- Re-PCK
- Re-AV
-Analysis of differences between files inside a "Song Folger":
- .sm.orig and .sm
- .png.orig and .bmp
- .png.orig and .png
- proper editing of PCK.IDX

we actually could need help,
any contributors are welcome!

If you can take the info from the ITG disk, does that mean I could add all my DDR songs to ITG and have them all on one disk so I don't have to trade them all off?

Hi there,
thanks for the input,

I will rewrite the Readme when I find time for that, probably it will be sometime this week.

Quote:

Put the Ps2 DVD in your PC DVD-Rom Drive.
Then according to the Readme use the .pck files on Un-pck.exe (just drag the .pck on the .exe).
You cannot unpack all .pck files in once, you have to use every .pck one by one.

Do you FOR SURE have a DVD-Drive in your PC? A CD-only Drve does not work biggrin.gif

That's correct.
After you "Un-PKFed" all .pck Files, you have to look in:

c:\Documents and Settings\<Your Logon Name>\

I got everything to work but all this organizing seems to be very tedious. I can handle that but some of the songs (most noticably right now Disconnected -hyper-) seems to be slower than usual. This will severely unsync the arrows and song. Please do what you can to fix this.

edit:

Actually it seems all of the song are being slowed down. I confirmed this by listening to the actual songs and the songs decoded on my PC. If this is not a major bug its is a major henderance on gameplay. Thank you for you effort and time E1.gif

yomic,
thats not true,

maybe the songs you compared with are not OK?

the ITG Ps2 Extracted Songs are 1:1 the same Original ITG Ps2 Song Speed.

I can confirm the extracted songs are significantly slower than the versions in the game.

o.O No wonder Konami sued Roxor. In the third pack from the top left, it'll install a folder to your desktop called "noteskins". Look in there. Go to common, and look at the few pictures's names at the top. They are called, along the lines of, "noteflashSTEP". Change the step to DDR's steps. The fantastis flash is labled Marvellous, Excellent's is Perfect, etc. So yeah, Roxor completely took Konami's setup and changed the ini's around. laugh.gif
