I have the Naki Dance Pad Revolution X (the Xbox version). It doesn't slip around a whole lot, maybe three inches, when I play Tsugaru on Heavy, MAXX Unlimited on all difficulties.....
It used to respond really well to all kinds of challenges, like super long eighth-note runs in Castles in the Sky, Midnite Blaze....
Now, however, my down arrow isn't really responding. But that might be because I folded into thirds for transport. But yeah, it also seems that my down arrow "drifted" away from itself. Meaning that I activate the down arrow by stepping near the center of the pad, and stepping at the far end of it by the border. But still... I find it a decent investment when it's $18 at Walmart.com and it has a 90-day warranty. Return it at the store, buy it again online, repeat.... |

Best way to invest your money is buying directly from manufacture such as redoctane.com .
madcatz.com star selling thier products online too.
I also notice that mymybox.com start selling thier products online too, but it is not open for business yet.
another store you might want to check it out is cyphergames.com since their price is one of the best online stores except for quality and slow customer service. |

your better off getting a bns DX pad or a RO Ignition pad. This looks like an outdated piece of work... for $19.99 it looks as if it would last 2 weeks. It's like paying for rent fees: $10 a week to play it! =] _________________

Yet again, it seems that the Xbox got the better product. I don't have the complaints on the Dance Pad Revolution X that you guys have on the Dance Pad Revolution 2...
BTW, thanks for the update on Naki's website. I had just ordered more of these from Walmart, and they came in a NAKI BOX, not a Walmart box. Makes sense. So now you can PM Cutriss about the new link, so he can update his "Naki lost their domain to a squatter" post |

Hmm... I'm borrowing a Topway-836 (or some 3 digit number like that). It has the same graphics as the NAKI pad shown, but it works quite well. Is this a different pad than the NAKI, or is it a clone? _________________

Whats the difference between the Naki ones and the that comes with the game? My firend has the Naki one and I have the Konami one while he cant play Standard and I can play heavy. His died out in the first couple of weeks but mine is still going strong (7 months). And I do 8-9 footers. _________________

Yeah, i got two Naki pads & Konamix for $20, and, yeah, i get those same problems. i tried to staple the pad to some heardwood, but that made it worse. my next idea is to velcro the pad to a (i'll cut it to size) piece of plywood. I was wondering if anyone has already tried this, and if i just need to velcro the sides, or the entire bottom?
PS: this is a temp pad for me, because i'm planning on making my own Metal pad (maybe 2) set to be done by the end of the year. This is 6 months away, so that's why i need a temp pad (the two naki pads i have now)
Thanks for any help! |

Hi, um, I'm a DDR n00b, I just started playing at our local movie theatre a few months ago. I can play some songs on light, but nothing past that. Would this pad be ok for me to start out, since I'm not advanced or anything? Is it totally crappy for begginners to, or will it last until I can improve a little? Which I don't think will be to very soon....
Thanks! |

Thanks Arisch. I appreciate your being nice.
As for you other two jackasses. If you have nothing better to do than to waste your time bashing a newbie who wanted a simple question answered. Get a life.
I'm SOOO sorry. At least I read the rules and didn't post a new thread asking what I should get like a dipshit. I apologize if my DDR inferiority displeases you vetrans.
And if this gets me in trouble or whatever, I don't really care because I won't be back. Thanks. |

I wasn't being an asshole, I was just stating that it seems like a lot of beginner members seem to be bumping really old threads lately. |

Guys, this person was asking a legitimate question. If the post consisted of only "Wow, I had no idea threads this old existed" then that'd be different, but this all seems OK to me. _________________
