i love that song to death but its only 6 feet on hard. why is it that not all the songs have an expert difficulty. that reminds me though, when i was in England i was playing on this ddr machine and it had some of the songs from itg _________________

If you think it's too easy on hard, you have the option of making your own stepchart to the song then. You can then make an edit that can be a 1 or a 13; it's up to you.
Wow, you've been able to discover the magic of edits. _________________

Isn't it an 8? It's definitely not a six. |

You don't need an Edit Mode on a CS version to make edits on ITG the way you do for DDR. ITG uses Stepmania source code as its base, and it actually uses .SM files for its stepcharts, or so I've heard. So if you can make a stepchart for a song on your computer, you can make one for ITG, put in on a USB flash drive, and play it at the arcade. |

I just took a glance at the simfiles ripped from the PS2 disc, and can confirm what Reenee said.
Mellow Single Hard = 8.
Mellow Double Hard = 8.
Mellow Double Expert = 9.
It's a bit weird that there are Double Expert steps but no Single Expert steps, but whatever.
It's possible that ITG2 has Single Expert steps for Mellow that just haven't been unlocked yet. Let's look at the song "Why Me":
ITG arcade: "Why Me" had no Expert steps.
ITG console: "Why Me" had Single Expert steps but no Double Expert steps.
ITG2 arcade: "Why Me" appeared to to have no Expert steps, but an unlock code unlocked both Single Expert and Double Expert (except on some older machines where the Double Expert steps were missing).
So it's likely that we'll be seeing Expert steps unlocked for more ITG1 songs in ITG2 in the future. _________________

I'd be interested in seeing Expert steps to the song. It's one of my favorites from ITG (actually, I like all of the SpaceKats songs I've heard so far). However, I think the Hard steps are fun to play, even if they are easy by ITG standards. It's the first Hard chart that I had earned a two-star rating for. _________________

I assuming you mean:
Fixed wrote: | What's up, KILLJOY?...I think they should have one also, but I also think they should have a faster game speed if you want. |
Or something to that distinction....what do you mean by "faster game speed"? |

You fixed his post improperly and made a few grammatical errors, yourself.
-First, when you use quotation marks that are directly followed with the ending of the sentence, punctuation must ALWAYS be used inside the quotation, even if it's not directly related to the quote itself. If the sentence is a statement, the quote should end with a period, then the closing quotation mark. In this case, the sentence should end with a comma, quotation mark, then question mark. To wit:
What do you mean by "faster game speed,"?
-It is considered poor grammar to not include a space after a punctuation mark, including but not limited to "..." punctuations.
-When you said "I assuming you mean," I'm fairly certain you meant to say "I'm assuming you mean."
-Technically, his quote should have been changed to "I think they should have one as well," or "I think that they should have one, too." Notice that the word "that" is added or omitted to indicate the differences in grammatical clauses. "As well" is generally preferred after the word "one," as "too" can sometimes be taken out of context and read as "two." The word "also" was poor choice anyway, because it was used as a second sentence qualifier a mere three words later. Using the word twice in such a short time period served only to make the sentence redundant and the writing stagnant.
Am I being unusually strict about the things you wrote in your post? Absolutely. And why? Because I've been proofreading writing for several years, and don't take lightly to amateurs trying to sound like they know anything about anything when it comes to the literary craft.
And more importantly, you're on a message board, for crying out loud. This is the LAST place in which you should be trying to correct people, no matter how incoherent you think they are when they're expressing themselves.
Finally, as the old saying goes, "People in glass houses should not throw stones." _________________

Shut up. Stop bickering about simple things such as grammar, especially over the Internet. -_- _________________
