In BYM Expert Doubles (Measure 30, I think), there's a huge hand where it starts like this:

1) 1P:up: and 2P:up: as a jump and a freeze
2) 2P:left: as a freeze
3) 1P:right: as a freeze
4) 1P:down: and 2P:down: as a jump; freezes end half a beat later

That's a total of 6 arrows crossing the targets at the same time! And we have 4 hands/legs. Which means that 6>4. How am I supposed to do those steps?
<joke>Do I have to mutate two more legs to be able to do that? </joke>

just a really off guess, try using your knees for it.
use your hands for the ups, knees on the left and right and then feet for the downs.

Yep, just what the guy above me said. The first two arrows are both down arrows, so hit them and hold them with your feet, then, hold the next two down with your knees, and hit the last two with your hands.

Yeah, it's really not bad at all. I didn't really whore it out a whole lot, but I double-starred it, and that's number 2 on groovestats (was #1 at the time, but TJ3 took it back).

In order of: 1-P Down/2-P Down, 1-P Right/2-P Left, 1-P Up/2-P Up

Method 1: The Bow
Feet, then knees, then hands (it'll look like, well, you're bowing to the machine).

Method 2: Showing off
[Turn COMPLETELY AWAY from the machine (180 degrees)], feet, elbows, hands.

I've done both. I weigh 90 pounds. I'm sure everyone can pull 'em off.

Method 3: The squat

Feet, then hands, then knees.
I find it's a bit easier to hold four holds with my hands and feet than with my knees and feet. However, you need fairly long legs to hit both up and down with one leg, and you kind of sit on your hands a bit. (Arm positioning is funny.)

Method 4: The sit
(turn away from machine) Feet, butt, hands.
It requires a bit of a strange shimmy to hit one arrow, then hit both arrows with just your but, and it's probably not possible on a dedicab because of the raised metal between the inner two arrows. (Ow!)

Anyway, I haven't successfully held all the holds with any of these methods. I'm going to try "The showoff" though, because that seems plausible.

Shouldn't that be listed as "feet, hands, elbows," though? Having your elbows together and your hands apart would be, uh... incredibly uncomfortable.

Yes. BYM doubles is fun (to watch, never played). The only time I saw it done was by TJ up at AFC West on the new Ded Cab.

Here's what I saw him do; Two feet on the two downs, then left knee followed by right knee on the right and left arrows, and then the hands on the ups. I believe it's called "The Jesus."

Wait a second, TJ crosses his knees at that part? That must look weird...I usually use my right knee on the right arrow, then my left knee on the left arrow...but left knee THEN the right knee? I wanna see a video of that.

Sounds to me like that's the "bowing" method mentioned earlier, no knee-crossing. Facing the machine, the 3rd and 4th arrows to hold are P1 Right and P2 Left, which would be your left knee, then right knee.

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

Actually, it's the P2 Left arrow before the P1 Right arrow...that's why it got confusing when Fate wrote that TJ uses his left knee first, since the arrow on the right side is the first of the knees to be hit.

Yah, sorry about that. I wasn't sure which side was first, but I was pretty sure that one side was hit before the other. He doesn't cross his knees, just uses them on the correct arrows (Left and right).

I've discovered another method to hit the 6-panel in BYM expert double.

The Cheat
Feet, hands, hands.

The holds end really shortly after the two up arrows come by. You can, if you want, use the to your advantage by moving off of the two center arrows to hit the up arrows. If you move quickly, you can get a fantastic and still hold all the holds, because the amount of time between those last arrows and the end of the holds is less than the amount of time required to miss a hold.

However, some people are opposed to cheating hands like this, and may prefer previous methods.
