If you didn't, great job though, and even if you did, still a decent score. And nice on the Nightmare double, too. | 2.5x on Euphoria is readable, but IMO too fast. :S I considered looking over during the slow part of Euphoria, but decided against it. I play Euphoria on 1x all the time, because I'm most comfortable with that or 1.5x... so there's no real reason for me to cheat it. _________________

Meh, I'll star Energizer soon...and the Sunshine score SHOULD be a triple-star if it weren't for the dumb pad decent. _________________

Wow, I have a lower tolerance to high speeds than most people, but I have a higher tolerance for reading close-together arrows.
Seriously, a friend of mine was playing Euphoria on 4x and failed. He walked off the pad, so I got on... then realized it was too fast for me to read, so I got off again.
560 BPM? What's wrong with you people? _________________

I think there's a big difference between playing a song with which you're familiar on a high speed, and sightreading. If you've played a particular chart 15 times or more, you probably have the rhythm completely memorized, the general flow of the steps memorized, and a number of specific steps memorized. You only really need to read a few of the arrows coming up to know how to do the steps. If you're playing a song for the first time, you have none of these advantages, and a lower speed may be more beneficial to give you time to figure out what's going on. But, maybe that's just me.
Euphoria 4x is way too fast for me. 3x is just about right. I can read up to about 450 BPM comfortably, but anything higher than 500 is just too darn fast. I'm guessing most/all players who play at those speeds use the bar all the time, double step instead of crossing over, and use their feet to hit what should be hands. That's not my preferred playing style.
...Wait, what thread is this again? Accomplishments, was it? |

PS--the scroll speed on DDR is faster than ITG. I don't know what the difference is exactly, but playing LoM at 333BPM is not the same as playing Pandemonium (whatever BPM that is...I'm sure it's close). Like someone else said, I struggle reading tens on DDR on 1.5, but have no problem reading Pandemonium or Energizer at 1.5...or even x2 hallway. My limit for x2 on DDR is around 170, where as I play up to 180 BPM on x3 on ITG and stuff around and above 200 on 2.5...there is a definite difference. |

Uh, hey. I fudged my way through the semi's of a losers bracket today in a tourney. They didn't allow use of memory cards but I was pretty happy that I finally *d July Expert, almost 4% higher than my best yesterday.
