New website page on the custom factory on Konamistyle.com

Though currently the picture is of a actual arcade GF controller straight from a machine with the GF V sticker straight on it (and the arcade connector visable). I think that then excluding the GF V sticker, an exact arcade replica will be available to buy as an ASC!

Well like I say, that is just the standard arcade controller that is shown... which is no bad thing =) That would also give it the weight that the regular ones don't have. On the questionairre the prices for this that you could say you would pay are 10000 yen, 20000 yen, 30000 yen and more than 30000 yen. This leads me to believe that the price range for this controller will possibly lie between the $200-$300 price range, the same as the Pop'n and BM ASCs.

Where can you find a Pop'n ASC between $200-$300? I've only seen them going for about $425 cheapest online... maybe I don't know of any cheap sites?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm definitely plunking down some cash for this. It's about time that they made a Guitar Freaks ASC, as well as releasing some of the newer mixes for console release. I personally picture the ASC costing closer to $300, $350-ish, depending on how nice the guitar is.

Thats the going rate for you to buy one in Japan, but you can only buy them when they're being made and you can only get them sent to Japanese addresses, the immense shipping costs internationally, the profit that needs to be made to make it worth doing and the rarity all attribute to the high international price. So I was speaking from the perspective of the Japanese market.

That makes a lot of sense actually, no wonder the prices are so high! That sucks for people not currently living in Japan... I suppose I'll be paying close to $450 just for one guitar? Ouch, especially for a university student like myself who can't really spend $900 on two guitars... I hope they come out by New Year's in Japan so that I can pay my friend to buy one for me, hahaha. You don't suppose that Konami will produce the cheaper models again, do you? That might be a nice alternative to buying 2 ASCs. I may opt for just buying 1 ASC and have the cheaper one for my friends to use.

The old style CS controller can still be gotten secondhand, and to be honest, its playable. Its worth picking one if those up on eBay or whatever if you want a second controller. The CS will probably see a re-release or a MKII model (ala Pop'n music and DDR controllers) so you might want to get that. Anyway, GFV CS is a long way away yet!

A long way away? Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't GFV/DMV coming out in Q1 2006? It seems far away, but it's at least better than Q4 2006 or even worse, 2007... I would think that they'd release the ASC at the same time of the release of the actual game itself.
