Seems you didn't bother reading my post right after that one, so here it is again:

Not exactly. They're actually 8th notes at 370 BPM (I think?), sped up and shifted by 1/64th. Not to say that that's easy to do, either...

And it's a 13.

LOL you're funny. Those notes would be over 6000 bpm, and over 100 per second. Try to know what you're talking about.

would you agree that songs like these defeat the purpose of playing DDR/ITG, which is to have fun?

I love a good challenge, but the hardest ITG songs are just outrageous

They're made to give the best of the best a challenge. Kevbo passed Nightmare Intense...well...a pass in my book at least. Failed on the mines AFTER the last steps. IMO, that's a pass, and a well deserved one.

I think he did that on purpose.

O yeah i got those vids from ITGfreak. VerTex2 failed it teh best failed screen there ever was. I'd be more proud than disapointed to fail Vex^2 biggrin.gif

Just overall sucks that we can't do it without that code. Taht's a really REALLY retarded unlock system, it should be more like this:
-Operator unlockable (a function in the Opp's menu like "Unlock HIdden X-Y"
-Time unlock (like Tekken5, certain things unlock after the machine was initially installed after a certain number DAYS; like how Deveil Jin is NEVER accessable unless the machine has been in Pay Mode for 42 or more days not bootups)
-Player Codes-we all know (and look down at) this function. disturb.gif

I supposed this thread can be locked...I've gotten my question answered

I think VerTex^2 is even harder than Pandemonium. Seriously, that song is absolutley crazy. I wonder how ZiGZaG comes up with these wild ideas.

Sorry to ask a stupid question, but how were they unable to unlock those songs? Did they just get lucky entering unlock codes randomly?

Also, what exactly is "Disconnected Disco" -- is it just another Disconnected remix that's in the game but hasn't had its unlock code released yet?

From what the guy who owns that machine said on ITGFreak, it glitches out sometimes, which causes everthing to unlock. While it's in its glitch mode, a bunch of the options act strangely and the percentage doesn't display during gameplay.

Yes, Disconnected Disco is another remix, but no code yet frust.gif

Well, that's pretty sweet. Has anybody jotted down the complete songlist? Is Cosmic Unsciousness now confirmed/denied because of this? Any other songs that weren't known about? Any more ITG1 songs that'll be getting Expert steps for the first time?

Or just link to the thread(s) on ITGFreak & I'll go look for myself. I don't go there often so I guess I'm kind of behind the times on this.

Yikes, misinformation abounds.

The guy who owns the machine used for the VerTex^2, Disconnected Disco, and Wanna Do videos (actually, I'm not sure there was a Wanna Do video, but they made a simfile for it) supposedly knows how to cause the glitch to happen. When glitched, the machine has several additional songs/stepcharts unlocked, as well as some oddities such as percentage not being displayed during gameplay, 96% being awarded a quadruple star, etc. Apparently he contacted Roxor about the glitch. He didn't release the method of causing it to the public.

Cosmic Unconsciousness was not available on the glitched machine. There's been some debate about whether or not the glitch unlocks everything. I'm fairly certain that no new courses were unlocked by it either, which is further evidence that it isn't everything, although I don't think we ever knew for sure whether or not there are unlockable courses. We'll still just have to wait and see.

Disconnected Disco is a remix of Disconnected, done by Pete Ellison/Kid Whatever.

Cryosleep does indeed have a locked expert chart. It's a 10, not a 12.

Can anyone put those videos on yousendit or some other host? I can't watch them on there. If you could I'd be very thankful.

In the past, they photoshop the IN THE GROOVE banner or ITGFREAK logo (at ITGFreak) and have the code hidden in there very cleverly, but in hexidecimal form. It usually takes abuot a week for someone to figure out/decode it E2.gif

This time we don't know yet disgust.gif

Actually, it's hidden in a variety of forms, and it takes somewhere between overnight and two days for us to figure it out.

When Roxor releases another puzzle, we'll have your code soon enough. E10.gif
