i say, if you can do sakura, so deep, or max 300, you should be able to do the crypt walk better.
so my brother says.
its just another "video game sport" but not an alternative! will karate replace tae kwon do or kung fu? no! they are 3 different sports!

Everybody bar rapes now-a-days, so what's the point of even trying to become strong enough to do these songs?
Anyway, I'm a long distance runner and this arrow smashing game can't even begin to compare to the years of training I've dragged myself through to run 10-15 miles a day.
I pity all of you losers that believe that DDR is some exercise tool. Just join a gym. You'll get much better results. That's what they are there for.

No to all three questions, not at home. In the Arcade, the only thing which is close to a workout is Legend Road, and even that is considerably worse then running. Play In the Groove. _________________

Yeah, and Drummania makes you become the next Jon Bonham.

Won't do 5% of just running would.

No. |
Just so you know, your entire post is absolute 100% wrong. Just thought I'd point that out. |

Oh shit dude, you're so right. We should all just join a gym instead of having fun while getting a pretty decent workout!
Hell, DDR is such a horrid waste of time in terms of exercise that we should all just play with a controller instead of a pad. What's the point in, you know, moving around when you're not benefitting as much as you would be if you were doing a half hour of HIIT?

Of course a gym membership will do more for you than DDR/ITG alone, but people claiming that it's not a proper substitute for cardio (false), that it won't help you in other athletic sports (false), that it isn't anything close to an exercise tool (false), etc is pretty ridiculous.
Why is it so hard to admit that DDR/ITG helps your stamina and generally makes you healthier in general? |

And I'm a moron for actually getting my but off of the couch to do more then just step on arrows. I could go on and on about how much of a dufus you are for posting that, but obviously you're another out-of-shape couch potato as well. Be well.

Out of shape couch potatoes know what HIIT is. Really, they do. They play expert/heavy too. You know, since DDR requires so little stamina that anybody can hop on a pad and do 3 sets of 4 heavy songs in a row! You definitely don't have to be in shape for that ^^
Wait, do you even know what HIIT is? |

I know a four hundred pound player who can pass BMR V - easily a 12 footer. Ever seen someone play heel-toe? That requires stamina?
Nobody is saying DDR does nothing, we are saying it does a relatively meaningless amount compared to serious excersice or even running. This is true. _________________

DDR without a doubt will help improve your hand and eye coordination.
Also, it helps you lose some weight, but it will take hours of playing or depends on your difficulty.
The main benefit of DDR imo is it helps work your leg muscles specifically the calfs. In the long run your legs should be stronger, and have more strength.
I agree gym training is a much better way of conditioning yourself. However, DDR is both a fun/cheap way to exercise in your own home. _________________
