Its possible to get negative Dance Points and the game would still give you a D so no. _________________

Aren't you able to get through a song with an "E" on Beginner and Light Mode as your first song? _________________

You're allowed to get an E on any and all songs that you play on Beginner mode. Light mode, i think, let's you get one E, then after that you just fail....don't quote me on the second part though.... |
No, you're wrong. On beginner, it lets you get an E on your first song without failing you, but on the other stages, if you fail, it fails you (but waits til the end of the song to do it). On light, you can get an E on your first song without failing, but if you fail on any other song it'll fail you immediately. _________________

The reason I play with people on beginner is so I can do songs like TLOM on heavy and not fail in case I lose my balance and can't recover.
But that only happens once in a while. I swear. |

If you play versus, and you both fail at different times, but as each person fails, the other person has life... _________________

There is no way that this statement is true without you knowing the answer to your own question. _________________

The machine probably had auto-fail off. The one I play on fails you if your ladder runs out but lets you play the rest of the song first |

There is no way to pass a song with an E. Just because you made it to the end and it said your grade was an E, doesn't mean you passed. It just didn't fail you due to settings or something, but basically, yes you failed.
Answer: No.
The end. |

No, it is not possible to clear a song with a E. An E means "failed". You can only pass with a D or above. So no matter what options are on (Event Mode, Auto-Fail Off, etc.), it doesn't make a difference with or without the results screen, because an E is an E, and an E means "Failed".
Enough Said. _________________

THE only way to pass a song on heavy (as in continue to the next stage) with an E, is to have both people fail at different times and both recieve an E. This way you don't really win, but no one actually fails. It's all good. |

No. It isn't. The lowest passing grade is a D. Here's proof:
All Goods, 39 Almosts... Score of 0. Still a D.
Also, it is NOT possible to get negative dance points because none of the steps give -1 or -2 points to a DP score.

You're right about the lowest passing score being a D, but you most certainly CAN get negative DP. Misses give minus 10 DP and boos give minus 8 (Or maybe it's minus 8 and minus 6). However, a negative DP still results in a grade of D if the song is cleared. _________________
