Pad broken! Need help before it's too late!

Okay, i recently bought a very fine metal ddr pad, the thing is now that the left arrow doesn't register! It has a tiny metal strip it connects to to get a connection, thing is my friend wants to sodder it! I think this would make the left arrow always register. So, if u can help me get it fixed or tips, or tell me what the hell soddering is, i would be much abliged.

what is the exact model name brand. and all that stuff.

Also the word is solder.(lol it doesn't sound liek it either)

I think you should solder it so it woudn't fall off.

Lol I just rearead your post and soldering is the method of aply a thin string of metal and melting it to another piece of metal

To do this you can use a solder gun or iron
This machine has a tip in which heats up hot enough to melt the metal.
You apply the tip to the metal and just make th emetal cool off. For a better explanation. Search goog,e
