I'm noticing some things:
-Smaller foam inserts. On my Ignition 2.0, zipping up the pad with the inserts inside takes some effort. On the 3.0, no effort at all. What's up with this?
-I left a dent! o_O The first night I had the thing, I left an indentation in the foam where the down arrow is. And the weirder thing is that it's STILL there. |

My 3.0 is "dented" too, right in the middle of the pad. Hmmm...maybe I'll try putting my old 2.0 foam inserts into my 3.0 and see if that doesn't help the sticky arrows and phantom steps. It's worth a shot. _________________

That's an idea. Since my 2.0 is already reliable, switching the inserts shouldn't hurt, right? |

I have mine since 3 days (Not a RO but a copy) and its work great. In 3 day (I played in arcade 1 time), I started to do standard songs. I used a 20bucks pas and the ignition make a huge difference!!! Its wroth every cents! |

No they're not. I just said on this page it took zero effort to zip up my 3.0. |

Seems to me like the RO 3.0 has a bigger "outside" if you want to call it that. I did the same thing, I switched the padding from my 2.0 to my 3.0 and vice versa. The 2.0's "Outside" is much tighter, which makes it harder to put the foam in. The 3.0's seems a lot looser, which is another thing I hate about this pad.
Btw, my arrows are going off and sticking too much. Time to return it for the second time for a new one... _________________

I need a problem resolved with my 3.0:
I was happily enjoying Doubles today when I noticed I kept slipped whenever I was stepping towards my 3.0. At first I thought it was some unflattened crease but then I realized it was the middle of the pad that's so slippery. Considering I could put my foot there extremely often, I'm very worried about slipping. How can I eliminate the slipping? |

Alright, I am thinking about picking up a Ignition 3.0 off ebay for $50. I have read every post here and I am reluctant to buy now considering how fast everyone's broke. As for right now, I play with a konami softpad which I have mounted to the foam insert of an ignition 2.0 pad. The main reason I want the 3.0 is the USB connection for the computer and the raised arrows.
My questions are:
Is there a fix for people's problems that works and yet is still confortable on the feet?
and
Should I buy the pad (considering I may not have a waranty, it is a brand new pad)?
Thanks! |

Ive had my ignition for about a month now, and ive been experiencing the following problems:
1. x button is sometimes dead
2. sometimes the arrows move on thier own, which gets annoying while going through menus.
usually thse problems are fixed by picking up the pad and whipping it in the way that you would lay down a blanket.
overall im satisfied, but for $100 youd think youd be getting something more reliable and sturdy _________________

I got a 3.0 when it first came out. 3 months later I had to exchange it because the up arrow stopped registering. I thought it might be because I played heavy songs all the time. I had that one for 2 weeks and I got another one Monday (5 days ago). Now THIS one is turning to crap. The triangle button is registering as the UP arrow and registering anytime I hit the left button or the back button or ANYTIME I raise my feet from the pad. Also, whenever I hit the back arrow and leave my foot on the arrow, it registers the UP arrow also and if I have to hit the up arrow it gives me a boo and then doesn't register any other up arrow after that.
This is getting annoying, but unfortunately, I am forced to just keep exchanging them until EB tells me no (I got the warranty at least). Can anyone tell me why this pad is faulty? 3 in 4 months? And the guy at EB said that he's had 2 others returned (not mine) for the same reason. I've e-mailed RO, but have yet to hear anything after a week. I may call their number tomorrow.
I wish they had a 2.0. I had my 2.0 for 1.5 years before it started ripping. I miss that one... _________________

speaking of the 2.0...
I saw a bunch at the mall today. When my 3.0 finally dies (Im an idiot, and got it at bestbuy with no warranty), do you guys think i should get a 2.0...or just save up for a metal pad (whether it be an afterburner or a CF)
appreciate it..

It's the Xbox wiring on the pad. I had the same thing happen, and I noticed it was that I couldn't press down while either right or left were being pressed. The only solution I could find for this was to play with a PS2-Xbox adapter. |

Yes this was discussed before. Someone actually call RO about it and they said yes they know about the problem. Its not yours individually. |
