About 4 months ago, ddr was set up in my gym class ._. and I played and liked it.
I bought a ps2 just for ddr, then I bough extreme, max2, and max and taught myself how to play.

I used to make fun of the kids who were really good at it, im like they have no lives, always playing it and poopy at their house, then i played the home version at a party, and loved it, then i went to my summer house down the shore, and theres and arcade there. So i started on light and within 2 weeks i was on standard, and now its been a month and i can do alot of heavys getting Cs, and Im totatly into double mode, im pretty good on standard, and amzing on light.

playing Max on PS2 at my ex's house summer 2003. went to the arcade and was dared to play. I was embarrassed but tried it when no one was looking. I ran and hid everytime someone looked until I was decent enough to make the crowd go "wow!!!".

I guess you can say I'm fairly new to DDR, i just got into it last summer. I was at Sherkston Shores in Canada and me and a couple of my friends checked out the arcade. we tried DDR (Extreme) on BEGINNER [yuck] and not bragging but a did the best out of all of them...then we were obsessed. we went there everyday to play, and i moved onto light mode the next day. after that, like 6 months later i got DDR extreme for Christmas and a crappy plastic mat...i moved from light to standard in about a month, then i took like a loooong break....now i'm back into it and I'm on standard now...i can pass most 6 footers and some 7's.

^^WTF was this how i got into DDR or a freakin' biography??? riiight.gif

My boyfriend's family got it (much to his objection). He started playing it, and then I did, and we've been playing for 6 months. Wooooo.

I went over to my friends house and he had gotten a cheap soft pad and Ultramix 2 for Christmas. I had only seen DDR at arcades before and thought that people looked like idiots playing it. I decided to try it though. I had so much fun that about a week later, I went out and bought Ultramix 2 and a cheap Gamestop soft pad. I've been playing ever sence then. E7.gif

Well, one time I went to the arcades with my two girl cousins and my little brother. We wanted to try something new because we would always play the same games over and over again. We were passing through the music game section of the place and then we saw DDR (DDR EXTREME, MAX, and the 5th Mix). My older cousin was saying, "Come on, let's try this!" I didn't do so bad, but both of my cousins did probably because they were tone death. So ever since then, I've been playing DDR! E7.gif

I saw DDR on TechTV when I was about 11, then started out with 3-footers on a 4th Mix a little bit later. Now I'm 14 and still not up to the technical level of most enthusiasts I see playing ITG/DDR, especially those who have played the same amount or less time than I have.

One of my friends introduced me to it about two years ago. I've been a fanatic ever since, getting a Red Octane Ignition pad. Now I'm currently saving up for a nice metal pad. ^-^

In the beginning of this year my newly made friend from school started talking about DDR and a person who I talk to online from other forums was a fanatic both influenced me in getting into DDR and I got DDR Extreme with the Konami softpad in the beginning of May but I have only played at the arcade once since then.

My friend dared me to play 4th Mix Plus.

I got 5 rare Yu-Gi-Oh cards out of the deal (I was a borderline-religious Yu-Gi-Oh player at the time)
