I am hoping that the problems experienced by many dealing with softpads similar to the ignitions haven't done rychan's mod. Has this mod been proven to solve the problems of the ignitions and other similar types of pads? Has anyone who has done this mod experienced the same problems as those who have not with the ignitions? I have been hearing an allotment of bad things pertaining to these pads, but i haven't heard of anybody's concerns or luck with the rychan mod. Should i feel asured about buying one of these pads if I plan to mod them or should i expect the same results as those who don't. I guess what I am trying to ask is simply if rychan's mod increases the chances of an ignition type pad to be perfect to the point where I don't have to worry about receiving one that sucks.
Oh yea, and here is the mat I plan to mod:

It has been out for quite a while with no attention being drawn to it from this site. I would think that this thing would be on back-order by now when having looked at level six's pads of the same kind and type that were so popular. Is it a bad thing to expect the same quality out of this pad as the level six's or other ignition rip-offs? |

It looks like that pad isn't an ignition, but don't take my word for it. If it is, go for the Rychan mod, it has worked well for me.
If its not ignition, just follow the other faq here on ddrfreak |

It isn't an ignition but takes foam inserts. Sounds ignition-like to me. Plus, they wouldn't sell a 50 dollar flatpad. |

Has anyone who has performed the rychan mod on their pad reported troubles with them even after modding them, or does doing the mod greatly increase the chances of retaining the pads' initial quality? |

Isn't it weird that the pad I linked to above has a circular center and the arrows don't even reach for the full length of the pad? |

The small tears have yet to affect my current pads. _________________
