Is there another way to get it to work without having to use the 5th mix j/p game? | You can do Edits.
You can't do scores. You can't view your scores on any home version other than 5th Mix (assuming you're talking about Max/Max2/Extreme. _________________

So the problem with mine is that the data fails to load for Party Collection. I looked at the memory card data and the file is THERE. It just won't load. all the other games are fine.
Um, so is it safe to assume that I should delete the file? |

You should get a message when the game starts indicating that the data is corrupt if it is indeed corrupt.
Try going into Options and loading the game data by hand. Watch the messages on the screen when this happens. If you see text ending in "ã¾ãã", then your data is probably corrupted and you should get rid of it. _________________

Which is why I put the characters themselves in so that you could compare the shiny pictures. XD _________________

That thread was locked because it was "supposed to go here". I wanted to follow up somewhere to everyone who replied. It was the Perfect/Great score thing. Last night I did the song and got an AA with 96p/26g and the AA stuck. So it wasn't a memory card issue at all, but this is where I was pointed too, so thanks to everyone who pointed out the scoring to me. _________________

Hopefully I'm not too late to answer it.
Start a save file in both MAX and MAX2.
Then, play Extreme and go to the options. Somewhere in the options is something called SUPPORT. Select both MAX and MAX2 saves and it'll upgrade your save files with everything unlocked. _________________

Added just for you: Cutriss wrote: | Q: But...but...I have an Xbox.
A: Ultramix has the ability to send edits to a memory card or load edits from one. Complete with a Datel ActionReplay Xbox or a Mega X-Key (both USB-based), you can load these on your computer and then transfer them to the Internet. Be aware, however, that you cannot modify the edit data directly, or Ultramix will refuse to load it.
The System files for the Ultramix series, however, are locked to prevent copying. I don't know why that is, but you cannot transfer the saves to a memory card.
Obviously, premium content is non-transferrable (since you then wouldn't have to pay for it if you could get it from a friend). |

Okay, this has been annoying me non-stop, and after searching konami's site, e-mailing them (and TRYING to call, beh) and also searching the forums here i give up and am just going to post.
I have extreme u.s. for ps2, and for SOME reason EVERY time i unlock the b4u (b4 za beat mix) my data file gets corrupted and I lose everything. I've tried multiple cards, not using auto-save, and also found someone else with a similar problem. So my question is, has anyone here had that problem, if so what did you do about getting it fixed (like i said, e-mailing them has no effect, and everytime i try to call I have no luck). Basically, before I break down and buy ANOTHER damned memory card I want to make sure that this isnt a game glitch.
Like i said before, sorry if this has been posted on the forums before, but I can't find anything so im assuming not.
/sniff.
I want more sooooongs. |

Afraid (or is it glad?) that I haven't had that problem myself, but rather than buying a new memory card, you may want to consider getting one of the products which lets you copy save files from your computer to a memory card (Action Replay's MAX Drive USB dongle being an example). Then you could download one of the save files from this site which has the songs already unlocked, and could optionally get a dance play off file so the corner buttons no longer fire.
It may be more trouble than you're really looking to go through, and wouldn't give you whatever satisfaction you may get from unlocking songs yourself, but it's another option you may want to consider. |

I'm having a bit of a problem with Max2. It isn't saving properly. I read all the tips that've been given and I'm certainly going to try them all but I'm not sure if they'll work. Here's why...I just got max2 a short while ago and I played for 3 hours the other night working my way through the songs I hadn't done and bettering my scores on ones I had. That night I finished unlocking everything. Then the next day when I turned it on all my scores I had recieved that night were wiped out and yet, it was still fully unlocked. I'm imagining there wasn't a corrupt file or anything, and I don't understand how it could stay unlocked and not save any of my scores. SO, I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if it could be a glitch with the game or a bad copy or SOMETHING, I dunno. It's odd, and I can find no explaination for it. So, lemme know, thanks. |

|

Okay, I know this exists, since Ive seen it with my own eyes. One day in San Diego, I walked into a Nickel City and saw someone playing on a Rhythm & Dance Game that uses USB Support for Memory Cards.
What I saw though, was not the average USB Card...
Instead, I saw an old Playstation 1 Memory Card modded with a USB Interface Device on the back end of it (front end had the interface for the Playstation/DDR Machine, the back end had USB Device). So you could..in theory..use the card for DDR (With the Link Data Files Loaded via USB) and any other Rhythm & Dance Game that uses USB devices.
My question is this: Is this card a home made model or did this person buy it? If its home-made, does anyone have any tips/directions/how-to sites that I could follow to make one myself?
Thank you in advance.
**Thank you wonderful mods for pointing me in the right direction where to post this.... _________________
