I've had over 25 DDR mats, 4 of them metal; all of them broke within roughly a month of me buying them. _________________

I had one pad for about three years and it still works perfectly fine to me. Here is the funny part. It is cheap and a soft pad. _________________

after my 5th pad, I just said screw home play, and went straight for the arcade. Pads haven't broken for a yr or so now (our arcade actually takes care of them). I do want a machine for home though lol. |

I've gone through 2 generic softpads, 2 modded generic softpads, 1 ripoff ignition pad, and I had to change the screws to bolts on my Cobalt Flux (which works perfectly) |

I can get a good four moths out of a gamestop soft pad playing 8 and 9 footers. Currently I am working on getting my madkats to stay put. I've had those for over a year, and they still work fine, they just frigging slide. I have burnt out one gamestop pad for PS2 and XBOX. Right now I have 2 gamestop pads, one for each system, and my 3 madcats.
I play on hard wood floor, which helps. Things that destroy your pads are...
Playing on carpet
Playing on an upper level (always play in the lowest level of your house)
Playing with shoes on (duh)
I haven't gotten an ignition yet because I've never played on a good one. And I don't have an arcade machine within 30 minutes of my house, so that's a little difficult. |

geez, what do some of you have on your feet when you play?
i wore out 2 soft pads in 4 months but my foam pad has lasted me over half a year. i honestly dont see how you wear out foam or metal pads, they just seem so reliable. |

Lol you guys need to be introduced to the cobalt flux. its pricy but hey, you'll save money having that for a long time then just buying more and more and more 3rd party soft pads or crappy metal ones. CF is good _________________

I have gone through 6 soft pads, two of which were Konami pads and the other four were Madcatz, and 1 metal pad from some unknown manufacturer. |
