maybe it is because I don't know that much about this technologies, but... woudn't it have some sort of legal issues? after all, you're downloading the files without paying for them
anyways, as a suggestion this should be at the Site Feedback forum
oh, and... just between you and me... we have DDR Freak Radio, is that useful? _________________

As I understand it, as long as DDRfreak.com doesn't broadcast any copyrighted material on their podcasts, then DDRfreak.com can make the podcasts freely available. For example, if the podcast was just DDRfreak members debating the merits of wearing sneakers while playing DDR, then that would be cool for broadcast and free consumption |

They can play CLIPS of copyrighted music, as long as they don't play more than 30 seconds of said song. Essentially, they can play clips of some of their favorite songs and stuff.
But mostly, podcasts are for news. Not really music or anything else.
Orange Lounge Radio has a Podcast available through I-Tunes. It's more along the lines of regular gaming though. They rarely talk about beat games. I think it'd be nice to see a Podcast out there that talks about Beat gaming news. _________________

Podcasts usually run an hour or more. Does enough beat gaming news exist to regularly fill an hour?
I'd love to see a beat gaming podcast done, so long as those running it kept it entertaining. |

OLR runs 45 minutes. And they don't talk strictly about games the whole time. Sometimes the talk about other things.
I think a DDRFreak podcast could talk about dance game information and other useful information (like techniques, freestyle and other things) _________________

Its iTunes, and DDRFreak doesn't need it for a podcast.
Theres one huge thing you have to look at if DDRFreak (god knows why) made a podcast, and thats the bandwidth involved. _________________

Excellent, excellent point. Even if DDRFreak could make a full and decent podcast, it would probably cost entirely too much in bandwith, and yet not appeal to that many people besides the few of us.
I doubt anyone but the most hardcore DDR gamers would want to hear a debate on the merits of sneakers or bar usage or anything like that. |
