I was looking through my old files and came across a lo-fi recording I made of me playing (not particularly well) Maxx Unlimited on my piano, back when I got my first condenser mic.

I thought some of you might get a kick out of it.

anyways, that was quite entertaining. it actually makes quite a nice little piano piece. do you have perfect pitch or did someone help you or anything?

Well, perfect pitch isn't necessary to play by ear. Once you find the tonality, a good sense of relative pitch is all that's necessary.
But right now, I'm actually developing perfect pitch, thanks to David Lucas Burge's ear training course.

Well there isn't any sheet music for it, I just played it by ear, heh. It's not that hard to figure out though, most of the melody is one note/chord repeated rhythmically.

I also found this lurking on my computer. I wanted to learn the crazy fast melody part at the end of 'A'. It's too fast to play it up to speed, but I figured out the notes anyway.

Yeah Max300 is too much drums (an orchastrated version would sound cool though), but i think LOM might be in there for a good one. Max. (period) would be interesting.

Pretty impressive! Maybe it was me, but the beginning sounded almost as studdery as a train taking off from the station, a lil off the beat... But once you got into it, the piece really took life.

I'd love to hear more if you're still interested in playing.

DUDE!! That was awesome. Seriously, you should write the music for it. I play piano, and would totally play that at the recital if I had music to learn from xD Think about it, you would get your name in the bulletein thing as the composer and all!
