How many songs can you dance before you get tired out?

For me, it goes like this.

Light: 30-40

Standard: 15-20

Heavy-5-10

Although I may tire out easily cause I'm a fat bastard.

Edit: Does anybody have a problem with excessive perspiration at the arcade? It seems that its always about 150 degrees anywhere there's a DDR Machine.

At once? Light, I've no idea. Probably quite a few. As for heavy and standard, more than likely a lot less. E1.gif

B.O? I've found that while I sweat like whoa, (I mean, I've been outside in a T-shirt and jeans in 15° and I somehow was sweating, even though I wasn't hot at -all-..) I don't smell all that bad.

Well, like most players, it's actually difficult to really fatigue yourself from DDRing, because you should recover your breath and most of your energy in a few minutes after an excessively draining song(s). I believe that it has a direct impact on your overall ability to exert yourself, for example, try doing any Max after about an hour's playing time of physically demanding songs. You'll get tired much more quickly, but should recover in a short period of time; this is the case for myself, at least. If I'm going to do anything beyond my playing ability (Any of the Maxes or other 10-footers), I've gotta do it when I first start playing, or it feels like wasted effort.

So no, there's nothing wrong with you at all, but keep in mind all our bodies operate differently on some scale E1.gif

I can play Light until I get bored.

I can play Standard until I get bored or my legs cramp.

I can play Heavy for several straight games (assuming a "game" is 4 songs - I never get Extra Stage) varieating between easy and hard Heavies.

It takes me a bunch of 11's or 12's in a row to get me tired, but after a bottle of water, and 5 minutes of rest, im back to normal. I usually bring a can of axe with me, so I smell good, and I end up sharing it with like 3 other people.

I'll use your format for my answer:

For me, it goes like this.

Light: 75 I usually use Endless mode to get to this figure.

Standard: 20

Heavy: 5-7

Although I may tire out easily cause I'm a pear.

I've played in Canadian winters (-30F) in my basement in shorts and no shirt with socks and still sweat a storm. Granted the house is heated, it's only that cold outside but the basement is always cold. I don't play at the arcade long enough to break out in a fountain of sweat but I don't stink too badly at all.

Lights never have worn me out (except when I first started playing, but now they are just like taking a brisk walk)

Standards after 50 or so. (again, never actually done this, but it is my suposition)

Heavies after 20 or so. I could continue, but i would rather fall over and throw up my insides goog.gif I'm sure you've all had this feeling E10.gif

Light and Standard- I can play those pretty much as long as I want, except for stuff like Maxx Unlimited. I used to play 4th Mix Endless on Standard for hours. Heavy's another story, though. I can last through a fair number of them, around 15-20. But after that, my legs usually feel like Jello and that's when I call it quits.

As for perspiration, I do sweat a lot. Doesn't matter what temperature the arcade is. Sportswear companies are now making clothing that's supposed to help keep you dry during intense workouts. I was thinking about buying a shirt like that if they're any good.

Light and Standard songs= I don't play those difficulty on songs any more because they're a bit too easy and... well, kinda boring. So, no # on that one.

Heavy songs= Since these are the only type of songs i play.... all of my money goes there, duh E15.gif Before i get INCREDIBLY tired, i would have played about 30-35 songs... maybe even more. I was, in fact, on my track team's long distant running competitions. I usually ran 5-10ks a day.

As for persperation, when it shows... IT SHOWS laugh.gif . I'm usually sweating all over the pad and using it to wipe the bottom of my shoes and getting my clothes dowzed in sweat and persperation. When i come home, it's nearly impossible to change out of them because their too stuck on me from the sweat. As for smell... ummm.... after about the 32nd song... then you better move away. I smell like a locker room after a football teams full day of practice.... no joke either riiight.gif

It depends...if I'm doing my typical cata runs (straight 9s with no breaks) I'm usually burned by about the 16-20th song. If I'm playing casually on heavy it's around 36-40

As for sweating, when I'm done playing it looks like I stepped into a shower with my clothes on.

well in light mode i could play forever until
in standard maybe like 50 or 60 songs
in heavy id say either 4-5 if i played all 9's
like 10 or 15 if they were easy heavy songs

And when i sweat omg i dont wanna bring that up laugh.gif

I sometimes don't recover very quickly, because I have asthma

I can last a LONG time. A long time. EDIT: From what it sounds like, I am about like Brave Little Toaster.

As for perspiration, lately, it has been getting more humid, so I am going to start dragging a Vornado fan with me to the arcade. They'll let me hook it up E13.gif

Always wear your deodorant kids!

Anyway, I have been recently been sweating a lot more than usual... I almost sliped off the pad when I did Afronova one time... cause of all the sweat dripping off my face. Maybe it was cause of that dang max 300...

I could go probably around 5-7 songs on heavy until i get tired

Sweat:Eck i usually sweat like nuts dripping sweat on pads to make them all slippery. My shirt(s) usually smell like mildew when I'm done at the arcade and stuff

BO:Theres a little invention called deoderant. Deoderant is your best friend with DDR+hygiene. I always bring a stick with me just in case.
