I was reading the memory card FAQ and

It said that you could put your initials in the memory card so if you get a high ranking it'll save to the machine. Do you have to have a console to do this? Or how do you do it with a dex drive(It's what I have)

Also I noticed that the faq says in order to create game link data to use 5th mix game file but there is also a DDR Extreme save file.

I'm not positive on either issue, but I'd assume that a preset scoretag would have to be set up on the PS.

In terms of 5th and memory card data, I'm pretty sure you need 5th to CREATE the data that will format the memory card for use in machines.
