Ever Tricked Newbs to play hard songs?

Well I tricked a NOOB (ignorant newbie) not a NEWB (A newbie wanting to learn how to play.) He was like give me an song on Heavy thats not that fast and i can do it cause im better than you! I was like ok and I gave him Bag and he was on 1x and failed extremly quick.

Im cruel, but Im not evil. If it was a friend I may jokingly do it once(And if I had paid for the game of course. Im not going to waste a song for them unless I paid for it in the first place). However, a total stranger is another thing.

Prehaps if they were braggy, egotistical show offs proud of B'ing something on beggining or light, trying to lead others to believe he's the greatest... Then I might, if I was feeling mean that day. Itd take alot before Id go so far as to crush someone like that though. Odds have it when I go after him and provide more of a show that I could probably very well take any of his fans anyway, so there isnt a need to challenge him directly.

Machine hoggers are another story. More than 35 minutes and Ill probbly... Do something. >>

Eh, I try to be nice about it all though most of the time, so...

I got tricked once when i was a n00b. A guy at the arcade told me to try one of the "red" songs. I was on light and i tried Paranoia Survior for the first time. I falled in the first 30 seconds. I learned never to play song that people tell you to play

I try to be the one thats helping the n00bs at the arcade. helping them with techniques, give them easy songs, blah blah blah. and most of the people are cool with doing the same thing, save a few who are jerks. most of the time the only people that switch dificulty on n00bs is the little bundle of sticks jerk skater punks who think they are better than every one and try to show-off in front of their girlfriend and their clique by tricking innocent little girls into playing PSMO. then the little girls run off crying and then i get mad and start yelling at the punk and telling him off and stuff. people like that dont deserve to walk this earth (or at least set foot on a ddr machine). But the dude usually backs down (im not a small guy) and walks off with his friend laughing at him. but occasionally there will be someone that doesn back down and ill have to give him what he REALLY deserves. and a$$ whoopin!!!!!. but thats VERY rare that i have to do that. Smile, play ddr, let n00bs be n00bs unless theyre newbs, and lets all get along. k?

The only thing I'm guilty of is picking Brilliant 2U Challenge steps with a Light player on the second pad; I wasn't thinking, so it didn't occur to me at the moment that maybe the other person wouldn't exactly be up to a 7-foot song with no easier modes. x_x I apologized, though he was cool with it.

I like watching newbies play, just because people can have as much fun on beginner as you can on heavy - challenges are relative.

you guys trying to make people feel like asses when they never play or are just getting started should feel like fags. I dunno but when i first started playing i played at home so i didnt look like a complete idiot when i would fail or mess up but now 5 months later i can pass any song with flying colors.

i was at seaside in new jersey we were playing me and my cousin (i beat him in every song all the time) were waiting to play and he always yells at people to pick certain songs. Its funny cuz i always call him gay when he does that than i get punched but...yea.

he tells people to pick like psm and max300 when he can barely do them himself so they pick it and he laughs. me sitting next to him feels like an buttocks because they wasted money..

i gave him a taste of his own medicene tho 1 time he was gonna play psm on heavy and right before he clicked the button to start i got it to oni and he just got owned. I dont think he does that to anyone anymore cuz i showed him how much of an buttocks u feel like when u fail horribly

The only time I think that I've tricked noobs is if while I'm trying to play and they start sticking their feet on the pad trying to mess me up or mocking me because they can't play soooo...if they have the guts I ask them to play me then end up by picking Max 300 or Max unlimited then acting like im useing mods i switch them to hevy then its funny to watch them attempt and end up sliping off the pad and fall

so i guss you could say i have tricked newbies before.

a friend of mine frick me up a bit when I was just starting to play in arcades (still on light) by picking Somewhere Over the Rainbow and Saint Goes Marching... and not helping me with speed mods.

I havent tricked any noobs yet.

But i did it to myself. The first day i tried DDR at a friends house i tired Destiny on light. I passed but with a D. My friend left to go do something and i was looking through the songs when i saw MaxX Unlimited. It sounded cool so i tried it on LIGHT. It took less that 15 seconds for me to fail. Depressed with myself, i didn't play for the rest of the night.

BTW Destiny on light is a 2 footer and MaxX Unlimited on light is a 6 footer for those of u who didnt no.

Tricking noobs who have no idea what foot ratings are is too easy.

The real trick is tricking noobs by picking songs that are FAR too hard for their difficulty rating.

Ever seen a person on 4s/5s try Witch Doctor standard? Gets them every time

song should be a 6

.

Waka laka and Witch Doctor is nice for people who are on 8s as well... although sometimes people can fluke that out.

I was playing Max2 at home when a friend of my sister's was over...she saw me play and wanted to give it a try herself. It was still on Heavy from when I was playing and I highlighted MaxX Unlimited and told her it was the easiest song on the game. The second the arrows appeared on the screen she just laughed and walked off.

I don't do that to be mean or anything, I just do that to everybody. Not at the arcades though because it sucks to lose the rest of your game as a result of some smartass.

Well..okay. I've actually tricked a few new players into playing harder songs. But I've had a reason for doing it..... for example, there was this one girl that I met at the arcade. She was a total snob! No matter what I did, she critized it. Even if I just triple a'd one of the hardest songs.... she'd tell me something was wrong and then tell me how much better she could do it. I dealt with that for four days... I figured that she'd eventually stop coming to MY (

) arcade.. but there she was again.. almost like she was waiting for me to come this time... so I finally told her to play it. I told her to show me exactly how bad I really was. She started off by picking light.... and she played Firefly. She just barely passed it. I was all.. WOO HOO!! So there was a little arguement.... so eventually she told me to pick one for her.... and that's what I did.

She didn't even get half way through the song, and walked away screaming "THAT WAS WAY TOO HARD!!!!!! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?? DDR ISN'T FOR GIRLS ANYWAY!"
