Maybe your computer just cant run Stepmania, my mom's old computer was like that. Also, did you read the FAQ on stepmania.com? |

Stepmania RC3 doesn't include all the neccessary DLL files required in order to run it. Do a Google search for the filename of the missing DLL files and you'll find sites you can download them from.
Or download RC2, the previous version. I believe it includes all the needed files. RC3, I think, switched to using new versions of several DLL files but forgot to actually include them with the installer. |

You can either put the DLLs in the Stepmania/Program directory or in your Windows System32 directory (usually either c:\windows\system32 or c:\winnt\system32 but can vary). The latter option is probably wiser because then they'll be available to any other program that needs them, and they'll still be there if you have to reinstall Stepmania. |
