This is awesome. I thought i was the only one who loved tenkay. I wanted to make a DDR manga but i cant think of a complex plot to wrap around it! its so hard trying to apease the crowd! Well my friend is working on a manga thats about DDR and from the 5 pages he's shown me... it looks and sounds awesome. I know you DDR playing public will eat it up as soon as he lets it loose on the internet.

Oh... and Pict is my best character because he is a gloatiing, jerk. Those are the best kind of DDR players to me. I know i should not like them but in a way they are kinda cool. As long as you keep in your mind that they are better than you because they have worked for it.... they werent given the skills to step.... they worked for it... so dont hate Pict or that dude at your arcade that says stuff "like dont mess with my machine!"[/b]

You're style is awsome. Good work. I like how its not really just straight up anime ripoffing. I'm seeing that way too much in America these days and generally do not like these sorta anime ripoffs that just seem to try to play off anime's recent American success, but your style is unique and refreshing. Good work!

EDIT: for an example of what I mean, watch Totally Spies or Teen Titans on Cartoon Network.

How old is this topic? Did I already reply?

...

Oh, well. Justice is a really nice person (at least online), and her artwork is very very good. She also had really good characters, like Takeshi Makoto and Adam Burn (Though I know Adam's real, you know what I mean. >_<)

I admire her dedication- I always drop my projects.

Sixth Stage has started, things are hotting up.

The plot has started moving along better than in the early stages.

My compliments Makoto. This is a great comic and I love your art style. This comic has sorta inspired me to ddr harder than I have in a long time.

I love the storyline and how it all comes together...

I also like how you used watercolor paint (Which is a tool I need to practice on more cause I hate it) but the colors come out very vibrant.

Please I like the storyline I hope in the future you can make another one.

I give you my compliments and regards as an artist myself so please "Keep On Movin" and superbly great work...

I love 10K! So much...mmmm

No, but seriously, you did an awesome job Makoto!! I love your art style, its the type I can spot from like a mile away! =happy.gif= You should get 10K published once its finished...you can get it done through Lulu Press easy, I'd definitely buy it...must make all my non-internet loving friends get addicted to it in all its glory!

Hehe. I'd actually like to make a DDR manga sometime...its a fun concept but I'd need to be able to stick with a storyline for more then 2 months(I get sidetracked easy...>.>)

Again, awesome manga! Can't wait for the final stage!

Erm... was I the only one that noticed the almost year span between those posts?

Anyways yeah, I actually poke my head in and read this every once in a while. It's pretty good, and this is coming from someone that never reads comic books or mangas or anything like that.

FIVE YEARS AFTER ITS CONCEPTION ...

It's finished...!

I had forgotten about 10k Commotion for several years. Was dusting off my Webspace Bookmarks when I came across this gem. I've had to re-read the chapters from the beginning, seeing how I was only half-way through it before I stopped checking for updates.

After reading through this amazing story again, and finally finishing it after five years, I have renewed passion for DDR! Back two years ago when I stopped playing I was into the PA scene. My life became "Perfects are good, Greats are bad, Goods are suck." It's honestly been awhile since I've connected with other people from the community. I became enraptured in my own little world of seeing arrows and stomping on them at the right times.

Re-reading this comic made me appreciate the friendships I've gained over the years playing DDR. I recall spontaneous trips in the middle of the night to Denny's after putting in 5 hours on the machine, back when it was easy to find $0.50 for 4 songs, sharing stories and laughs with good friends, and new friends I had just met that day. I remember two-hour long trips with sweaty teens in small cars after competing in tournaments. It wasn't about winning when I first started ... it was about creating memories. Sure a $10k prize would be amazing, but I think what's most amazing is the moments shared between the DDR community and I.

Re-reading 10k Commotion is as if Yukon Makoto took a watercolor brush to my DDR life of 5 years ago. Because of this ... I'm inspired to play again, to get good, to meet new people, and to create more memories.

Here's to having a good time, even if you only get an "A" or "B" on a song!

I love Tenkay as much as the next person... but a two-year bump?...

Actually, the comic reached its current end point more than a year ago. It did feel kinda anticlimactic, and now I'm not sure I like that it's over. Yuu *did* promise an Encore/credits update at some point, but we've been waiting on that for quite a while.

It isn't over just yet, there is still the CLEARED section she's creating at the moment.

I agree with Jace that my main reason I like this manga is that it did capture the social aspect of DDR that has kept me active an interested in it for so long. Unfortunately, the whole manga felt very rushed towards the last third of it, but I don't blame Yukon. After years of working on a project, you're going to want to move on to other things.

Yukon, thanks for the contribution to our community. If you're reading htis, PLEASE get your manga published in physical form, I want to buy a set so bad!

I loved your comic and I hope to see it published in physical form. In all truths some times I go back and re read it so that my passion for ddr can be rekindled. It's art and story were coupled seamlessly and they immersed me. I enjoy this read time and time again and am glad that someone put the time and effort into such a project, bravo and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work biggrin.gif. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
