The local GameStop in the local mall (Peoria, IL) said that they had recieved the game on today's shipment, but it won't be "in stock" until Monday. Now why in the wonderful world of Oz would anyone not put a game on the shelves the next bussiness day, especially when others all over the place are doing just that? It just gets my goat....

called up my EB, they had 2 copies. j ust gone done playing after 3 hrs. fun.

I got a call from EB Games telling me my order was in around 2PM. When I picked it up the clerk said they only had enough copies for the pre-orders. So... make sure you call ahead if you didn't pre-order because they might not have any copies for you.

As for first impressions:

I've played about 30 songs so far and have gotten 3 unlocks
The game is great
You can turn off corner buttons (yeah!)
You can get unlocks while playing in event mode
The load times are noticable at first, but you get used to them pretty quick
The default timing windows are bigger than the arcade (just like DDR mixes for the console)
I noticed they sensored the word "naked" in the song Torn (I guess they didn't want to risk the E for Everyone rating)

Overall it is a great game. Hopefully DDR Extreme 2 can live up to this standard.

They censored more than that....there's stuff in Normal, PA Theme, Torn and others...grrr. On the other hand...I have it. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Back to trying to pass Anubis Expert!

I haven't even gotten a confirmation e-mail from RedOctane yet, I'm starting to wonder if I should be worried. I did get the verification e-mail after placing the order. Has anyone else missed out on an e-mail from RedOctane about the game being shipped out? Seems as though the credit card may have not even been billed yet either.

Ok I get home today and I find the package. I'm happy. I open it up - it turns out it's my friend's game. She doesn't order things online so she gave me the money to buy it for her. Both copies were supposed to be shipped to my house but only her copy came! I guess mine is coming on Monday, so until then, I'll have to use my friend the whole weekend.

GRRRR!!! I called up my local game stop and eb games... they didnt get it today. (saturday 6/11/05)

they said they should get it monday.

So then I called all the eb games and game stop in a 50 mile radious from me. they dont have it either.

. I guess i'll have to wait till monday.

Okay, people in Southwest MI needn't bother searching EB or Gamestop this weekend, because I just got done phoning every store within a 50 mile radius of GR. Heh. I guess I could get desperate and start phoning Blockbuster/Game Rush stores...

Currently in Erie EB claims they are sold out.

Circuit City and Best Buy still don't know that the game even exists.
