Okay, I've already gone through 4 soft pads in 6 months. I'm tired of constantly shelling out money for cheap, breakable soft pads, but at the same time, I don't have enough money (right now) for a metal pad. So, why not make a cheap, indestructable pad.

How? Like this.

Sorry for the crappines in the last pic. Did it in Paint E15.gif

EDIT: If you don't get it, the laser keyboard works somehow by realizing when your finger is down on what key without triggering the others. If there's someone out there who knows how, feel free because I have a VERY vague idea. riiight.gif

That seems like a different concept. I'm not the master technician, by any means. I can barely solder, for Naoki sake!

I think it's a similar enough concept. Your concept would totally fuxor those people trying to hit up and down at the same time unless some really careful design changes were implemented. (Straight on projection wouldn't work too well.)

Perhaps dual projection...

Dude, do you really think that would be cheap? I would be around 400 bucks. Not really a logical idea.

Oh man, you people totally stole my idea, lol. For months now I was thinking they could use the eyetoy for the mat in the PS2 games. You would basically point the camera at your feet and line them up with the squares on screen. Tada, a totally virtual pad that is very cheap! They should make this one day, lol.

I like the idea... but what about a quad projection? E13.gif

Good idea.

Considering eye-toy only sees things from a 2d perspective, you would have to completely remove your foot away from the arrow and put it back on again for consecutive arrows. That would be a pain.
