Oh yes, probably part of McDonalds new "stay fit" attitude. They have these commercials like "I exercise, I love to stay fit, and eat my favourite food at Mickey D's! yada yada." Basically, after those girls put those lawsuits against McDonalds for making them fat, they have this whole "if you eat McDonalds, but exercise too (like you should kiddies) you can stay fit and satisfied at the same time!"
Please.

Anyways, I remember that DDR is also in The Sims, Urbz for PS2. And I saw it in some commercial... for a movie, or contest I believe? I'll update later.

I went to a chior concert on Saturday, and they sang (I know, it wasn't made for DDR and it's been around) Long Train Running (Runnin'?) and part of It's Raining Men. When they started Long Train Running And I couldn't stop laughing.[/i]

My school bought DDR. They bought two tx2000 models off of www.cyphergames.com, they have them set up at activity nights. It rocks so much! I had a big crowd of kids watching me last time, hehe. biggrin.gif

I heard the song "Take Me Away" during this Maxim documentary about the top 100 hottest women in the world... It was on in the break room at the supermarket. There was some creepy old guy sitting next to me watching it.

SKETCHY AHOY

EDIT: Oh, and I dunno if this counts, but there's a DDR club at my school.. It's rather tepid, but DDR nonetheless.

I LOVE THAT GAME. Its at Neon East E1.gif Though the music sucks in it. Sounds sorta like the hamster song.

I heard these 2 DDR songs within about 10 minutes at the hair salon:

-Simply Being Loved
-Planet Rock (they infused "1, 2, Step" with it as well...sounded weird... erm.gif )

Enjoy the day! =)

Nah. Well, maybe. I trained my sim up pretty early, so I am not sure if you get better or not. I don't think so though. A lot of the moves in the game are just basic, no matter what you skill points are you do the move the same.

It is a really fun game. I thought that Sims for PS2 was the stupidest thing ever, until I played it. Urbz is different though than the normal Sims.

This thread is now the official (read: only) thread for posting where you've seen DDR. Whether it's on TV, in comic books, or in the newspaper, put it here.

And "I saw it at the arcade" is not a witty answer at all.

*NEW FEATURE!* Post if you have heard DDR (songs) in public here too!

I saw on G4 In an episode of cheat If you look over cory rouse's shoulder you can see someone playing DDR In the background

I saw a McDonald's commercial today with Ronald McDonald trying to freestyle on a machine that was supposed to resemble DDR. I wasn't exactly thrilled to see it.

He still freestyles better than me riiight.gif
Anyway, I too see it in Urbz, commercials, the like. Most of these commercials and things make it look so STUPID though. disgust.gif argh.

This probably doesn't count, but at this mall in Greensboro there was this food place in the food court that was called Sakura Express, and I was like whoa! But they probably weren't thinking of DDR.

It took me a while to fully notice this...but if anyone sees the mentos commercial with all the birds skwaking in unison.....

They are singing No Limit By 2Unlimited (from 5th mix if you need a refresher)

It is a bit obscure and old. But then again, so is "I want to break free" By Queen. That gets used in coke ads....go figure.
