I tend to escape to the arcade when I'm stressed because I can step on stuff and my friends are usually there to talk to me when I'm down. I tend to get better scores when I'm terribly mad and terribly happy, moreso when I'm just apathetic.

Big time yes, Sometimes when some ones a doggy to me our my poarents suck, I go downstairs put ddr on and forget about everything. When im playing im worried about nothing other then the game, so if im getting made fun of while playing I dont even listen to the person, I just smile and keep the good times rolling thumb.gif

i have spanish class next and i always get stressed in that class because i hate it so much. I love playing ddr at the arcade in salem after school because it just totally makes me forget all about how much school sucked. Especially after i do songs like LOM, sakura, across the nightmare oni, and more.

What's with people sayin that DDR releases stress because they can stomp around or "hulk smash" the mat? that's gotta be the dumbest idea just about ever, and would explain why all the arcades around my area have broken mats, if passing a difficult song or the adrenaline rush raises your spirits, good for you, whatever, but don't take your anger out on the machine, that just ruins it for us peace loving DDRers, especially when people go in to the Arcade with a bad attitude

I've only had DDR Extreme on PS2 for a couple of weeks at first it was what stressed me out, but now that I'm getting better I would say," yeah, definetely, It makes me feel better when I'm stressed.

I get better grades when angry (stompy, perfects. =D), but if I'm like way stressed I can't focus so they get worse. It does feel good to take out my agression on my ignition, though. E15.gif

Cure for stress=Sexy Planet Oni

Cause you can turn all you want to on the humps and freezes, get dizzy, fall off the pad, and forget about stress as the ceiling swims crazily in and out of vision. E1.gif

But seriously, slamming the pad is good, and drawing a crowd makes you feel really good.

And those punks who make fun of you...use them as punching bags for a while. E1.gif

I was suprised when i got half way through exotic ethinc on heavy when normally I do not even attempt a 9 footer. I am kinda not there yet! 7&8 footers are for me! E1.gif Yay! Frustration makes you better.

frustration and stress definitely makes me a better ddr player. but as far as ddr releaving stress......im not so sure its just DDR. alot of people (including me) listen to music to releave anger and stress and stuff. And also the action of stomping the crap out of and inanimate object helps. devil.gif you could probobly put a crazy person in a clean room with a punching bag and put his favorite music on and when he came out he would be fine (at least temporarily). so i dont think its ddr i think its a combination of the elements that make up ddr.

I play each day after school, to wash away all the crap I dealt with in school. I sweat away my problems for a little while as trippy backgrounds swirl around and Jocelyn Enriquez sings"a little bit of exstasy ... a little bit of set you free."

It's always comforting to take out my rage on my metal pad while doing The Legend of MAX on standard.
