Probably not, but it wouldn't surprise me considering Naoki made everything else, including 75% of DDR's songlist, nearly a hundred different aliases, and Captain Jack.

This thread is in some real trouble. I think it will be locked as soon as a mod sees it because it is obvious that one person did not 'invent' DDR. It was probably a team effort.

Exactly. I'm sure Naoki (artist of many, many ddr songs) had something to do with it, but as for who specifically decided that stepping on arrows would make a good video game, your guess is as good as mine. In any case I highly doubt that all of the credit goes to one person. |

| I find it pretty ludicrous to suggest that Naoki actually conceptualized DDR. Bemani clearly wanted to have an expansive list of songs without actually having to pay many good artists, and so they hired Naoki to do the bulk of the work, using aliases to make it less obvious to the casual player. I believe it worked about the same way for Taka. Or does Taka also make the music for Naoki? It wouldn't surprise me. |

Taka is a separate artist. Naoki probably has nothing whatsoever to do with the game itself, he just makes the music.

Hell ya, Daft Punk frickin rocks. And btw, someone had a sig (might have been u, IDK) that hinted Daft Punk was doing a song for Ultramix 3, is this True, cause that would be awesome. They could put Superheroes from Discovery and make it a 10 footer.  |
