After that I saved them as .GIF's. Then I used UnFREEz 2.1 to make an animated .GIF. It's probably the most simple and easy animated .GIF maker around. Not only that but it's free!

I'm so happy! I haven't been able to find a free gif animator. Sweet...

Like forever. The sad thing is that I still need to finish it. I am hoping that I can get it done before school ends. Assembly language takes forever to program in. The porgam is already several pages longs, and I sill have much to do.

Only several pages? I'd figure it'd be approaching 30 or so, given the program's complexity (assuming one opcode and comment per line).

I didn't want it to sound so overwhelming, and I don't use comments because they are annoying. laugh.gif It actually is about 30+ pages at the moment. It will probably be about 50 pages in the end, if I printed them out. The rest of the programming is cake, even though it will probably take forever. A lot of it is the raw data used for pictures, sprites, and arrow patterns, but I fit like 10 bytes of data like that on one line.

I am pretty close right now. I want to get it done by the end of this school year, but finals are starting to get in my way. I will have it by next school year easily, but I don't know when I should release it. If I released it now, it would make most of you happy. However, if I release it at the beginning of next year, it will be out just in time for the rush of people that want games on their new calculators. The more downloads it gets when it first comes out, the better my programming stats (on http://www.ticalc.org) will be. Plus, I can have time over the summer to perfect my programming.

What do you guys think?

I really wish I could, but I have to perfect it as I make it. If I don't, the calculator crashes every 5 seconds and I can't get anything done. If I gave out what I have now, your calculator will erase itself so many times it won't even be funny.

Assuming you get the TI-84+ (because it is "replacing" the TI-83+) you would just plug in the USB cable and drag the file into your TI-84+. You will probably have to download ION or MirageOS which you can get from TICalc.org. If you get the TI-83+ (making yourself an idiot) you would have to buy a special cable to plug into your computer... and good luck finding that.

YOu will not need MirageOS or Ion to run this program. It is run using the classic "Asm(" token found in the catalog. Any calculator TI-83+ or higher will work fine. I have a TI-83+, and I managed to get one of those USB cable things, but since I have used the link port so much, it got damaged and it doesn't work anymore. riiight.gif I use a calculator emulator on my PC to test my program.

That reminds me, I have been perfecting the menu stuff lately and it is almost stable enough to give out as a little sample. You will not be able to play anything, but it gives you an idea of what the game looks and feels like. Besides, I don't wanna ruin the good part of my program by giving it out this early. E13.gif I should have it by tomorrow.

I will seriously love you forever if this turns out good. All the other DDR calc games I have are kinda slow.

I totally want at least a demo/beta version by the end of this schoolyear, if that's possible! E4.gif Gimme sumthin to do after the English and History exams E10.gif

Anything I feel like releasing right now is everything BUT the gameplay. E4.gif Don't get me wrong, I am way farther then just that, but it is too unstable and incomplete to release. You still get to look at the pretty groove radar. laugh.gif If I feel generous, I might give something out in a week or two. sarc.gif

Oh crap, I still need to give out that sample!
