There is still no official date, other than "May". We just have to wait and see. Any exact release date you've heard so far has been made up, as RoXoR has not stated one.

That said, the discs went out for replication a few days ago, so that most likely places the release date sometime between 1 and 2 weeks from now.

I just called up my EB and they said that the slated date that they should have in the store is this Wednesday, May 11.

Yet...

ESRB.org doesn't have a rating for In The Groove yet.

Aren't games supposed to be rated before they are released?

In The Groove for the PlayStation 2 is rated E for Everyone.

I'm not sure why ESRB's website does not have this information. E7.gif

my EB says the 10th...online also says 10th as well. I'm gonna call EB tonight after school today (i'm in it right now... riiight.gif ) and ask if they have it now. Most likely tomorrow though since they said it ships to stores on the 10th....maybe that's what your EB meant Sephiroth. They'll have it by the 11th because it's a day to ship.

I'm still puzzled. EB still says TOMMORROW. Gamestop now has a ship date of 5-16 which is a monday...... AND FINALLY NCSX.com says usually ships in 2-3 days. I don't know what the heck is going on. frust.gif

Roxor/Red Octane themselves have not announced a release date. I'm pretty confident it can be said that the game will not be out or shipping today, tomorrow, or next, or next, or next. I'd say the game's probably coming out closer to the 25th of this month.

I checked the local stores that would carry ITG...

EBGames : Tomorrow.
Gamestop : Next week on Tuesday.

I think Gamestop is right with the date.

How does EB games come up with their release dates even though the actually company hasn't announced them? I know if a company says Q2 2005 or something like that then EB will put up a release date of 4/1/2005 because that is the first month of Q2 (if I remember correctly). So where do they come up with 5/10/2005? Do they just make up a date so that they can get preorders for it?

Most likely. E1.gif

Anyway, hopefully ITG for PS2 won't be released later than next Tuesday or so... I didn't find out about the game until like late April, and reading that the release date was 5/9/2005 I was all excited for it, but now with the delay, I'm a bit frustrated. But that's alright. It is DEFINITELY worth it. biggrin.gif

But here's a question... do you think ITG will actually get sales from the average, non-hardcore player? Like you see people purchase home versions of DDR for various reasons, but what will draw them to ITG? I mean, when you ask someone about the whole 4-arrow dancing game, "DDR" instantly comes to mind.

Just a thought. E1.gif

pretty much

and i hope you guys know EB games is just gonna keep pushing the release date back day by day, notice it used to be the 9th on the may 8th, 10th on may 9th, and guess what, now its the 11th, just wait for roxor or red octane to announce it, EB games and all those are wrong, just accept it

well, Red Octane lists the Afterburner as In Stock now...I can't imagine ITG would be too far behind it, though sadly, it probably is
